Tailmate Cat Litter Super Clumping Odor Control Baby Powder (15kg/bag)…

I have two cats who - despite being able to go outside - always come back in to use the litter tray. This means the litter tray gets a LOT of use! I have searched high and low for a cat litter that meets all my needs and have tried so many different ones. Clumping, non-clumping, wood pellets, silica-based, cheap ones, expensive ones (including Worlds Best which my cat tried to eat!!!)... I've been through them all. And they have all fallen short... until now!This cat litter is absolutely by far the BEST I've ever used. It clumps instantly and completely - my cats have a habit of peeing against the sides of the tray, meaning I've ended up with a mushy sticky mess with previous clumping litters, but with this one it clumps no matter what. The loose litter falls straight through the scoop so easily when removing solids (no more shaking the scoop to try and get the loose litter off while trying desperately to not break the clump apart!). It also completely eliminates any odours within a few minutes (it's truly remarkable!) And best of all - really minimal tracking. There is some tracking, I don't think you can ever eliminate that completely, but it seems to stay confined to the mat outside the tray (rather than previous litters that have ended up in every corner of my house!!)It arrived in a very sturdy bag so no potential for tearing, it is very heavy but it does have a carry handle which helps somewhat. It's quite a big bag too - I have a jumbo litter tray and it took about 3/4 of a bag to fill it up? The only downside of this litter is the expense... it's double the price of the litter I was using, and for half the amount. BUT because the litter clumps so well it actually takes minimal litter into the clump, so far less wastage. And to be honest, considering how wonderful this litter is at clumping and removing odours, I can't really moan about the price - you really do get what you pay for!Please keep selling this litter, I think I'd be lost without it now! I feel like I can finally stop my cat litter quest!! :)UPDATE: Unfortunately the last bag of this cat litter I bought was not up to the usual standard; it didn't clump properly and wasn't masking the odours. I think it was likely to be a defective bag as all others I've bought have been great - and after updating my review on here the company immediately contacted me to resolve the issue. Truly excellent customer service, my problem was sorted out quickly and efficiently! Thanks so much! Won't hesitate to purchase again in the future.

Only had this 1 day, but am impressed. I've used clumping litter before and always hated it (had cat 14 years.) This stuff is very fine and forms well defined clumps that are easily separated from the clean litter using a sifter - without mess! Also, solid waste can be removed without wasting litter.The smell is subtle but pleasant. A welcome change from what you are expecting. (But I imagine the novelty wears off?)It gave off quite a lot of dust when I poured it into the tray. Enough that I held my breath, walked off and put a dust mask on to continue. That was overkill, pouring more carefully should help. But if you have a dust mask I recommend using it.I normally prefer silica gel litter. The only downside with that is that if you don't change it out often enough the wee pools at the bottom of the tray and smells awful. You are never going to get that problem with this litter as long as you fill the tray deeply, because it's so easy to remove contaminated litter then top up. Don't be stingy (that won't reduce how much you use over time anyway, so fill up deep!)In summary I like this as much as much as silica litter, ie a lot. Maybe even prefer it. It's a similar price per kilo but I haven't discovered yet which gets used up fastest.

After moving home and having to keep the 2 cats inside for a couple of weeks the house was smelling awful. I had to empty the litter tray everyday and I was going through air fresher like there was no tomorrow. I spent ages searching the net and reading reviews for better cat litter and this was the one I found to have the best reviews. I was a bit dubious spending so much money on cat litter but honestly it's been worth it. I now only have to lift out clumps instead of changing the whole thing every day. When my cats bother to cover their mess it leaves virtually no smell. If they don't cover it up the smell still isn't nearly as bad as other supermarket wood chip kind. Picking up the lumps is really quick and easy with dog poo bags and there is about 50% less trail/mess all over the floor as well. It's also much easier to vacuum up around the litter tray as the grit cleans up easier than the wood. It is expensive, but it lasts a long time. I'm about 2 weeks in and I'm through not even half the bag. I would have been through 3 or 4 bags of the previous brand in that time so its certainly worth it for me.

If this were cheaper I'd give it 5 stars - the product is fantastic but is it value for money? If it were cheaper more units would be sold, profits would go up and everyone would be happy.This is the best litter I've ever had. For one thing my cats will actually use it which is a major bonus as my eldest cat just went in flower beds till I got this. However, it's not economically sustainable, much though I love it, so I'm going to have to source a similar alternative which doubtless won't be as good.

As good as other ultra clumping litters, seems to absorb odours would buy again if only the bag was better!After opening correctly , the next time we used it lifted by handle and it came off! Plastic bag tore easily. luckily it did not spill much.... Grhhh!Better to buy 3 or 4 smaller bags and not have the risk.....
