JVL Boston Scraper Mat (45 x 75 cm approx.)

Frankly in my humble opinion; not fit for purpose. Bought this back in March for outside the front door. I found it moved around constantly which was a real pain. I decided to try and keep it contained, so I knocked up a pair of metal U brackets to fit over the ends which seemed to sort of do the trick for a while. Sadly when the weather improved, the metal expanded (I guess) resulting in this irritating piece of rubbish buckling and bending out of shape. Would not buy again

Bought this to replace a mat which had given us many years of service... We'd worn it down to the wire..lol.. It's well constructed and hopefully will give us many years service like our old one...I was confused about the 1 star reviews saying it has fell apart... All I can think is they must have kicked the c**p out of it... Still...I can recommend this mat.. Cheers..

I bought this mat about 8 months ago, at first it seemed perfect but after a few weeks I noticed that the sides were lifting off the ground. To correct this I turned it upside down , thus it then had a large bump in the middle ! When the bump was forced down the sides then lifted again, the thing had a mind of it's own ! After a few months of trying to get it to lay flat I found that the two longest sides had bowed outwards and some of the coir was escaping from the wire. Eventually I had to build a frame and nail it down so now I have a rather odd shaped mat which is losing it's covering. So all in all a very very disappointing buy.

We bought this mat at the end of October 2016 and were pleased with it until this week, when the coir in the middle partially separated from the metal frame. My husband is going to try to repair it, as it has done a very good job of removing mud before entering the house and we would be loth to just discard it.

Within two days of being used the mat became bowl shaped and would not lie flat. A further two days of use saw the bristle strips coming away from the wire. The only positive was that one of them made my builder jump because he thought it was a rat, which gave me a laugh. Within a week it had gone in the bin. What a waste of money.

This mat is great for muddy feet, not only does it clean the majority of mud of the bottom of your shoe/boot, but off the sides of the sole also. It works well, although it's good to stand on it with one foot while cleaning the other to prevent it moving around. I cannot comment on durability as i've not had it long enough, but it appears like it will last some time.

This is a small scraper, perfect for a restricted space but it is well constructed and works well.

The product is simple and functional and not much can go wrong with it. I am please with the product itself.But I am disappointed that I had to pay postage for a faster delivery, only for the item to arrive in the middle of the free delivery timeframe. e.g. paid for 2-3 days, free quoted as 3-5 days received on day 4."""In fact the item is now only showing the 3-5 day FREE delivery option."""Why was I offered and was able to select and to pay for a faster delivery, when I would only be given the free service???
