I can't measure the cards as they are with my grandchildren who love playing the game when I visit, but I would say that they are the same size as normal playing cards. They do take some getting used to as the pictures are all the same colour, a dull yellow and dark red, to make them look vintage. The different characters portrayed do provoke some interesting discussion with the children!

Are the cards finished in a smooth glossy coating? My daughter has Asperger's and cannot bear to touch anything less than very smooth. Thanks

They are high quality card and very smooth and silky to the touch - but not glossy.

I looked at another set of cards that said happy families requires 3 players and not 2! Can only 2 players play?

When we were kids and we played with just two we used to deal a dummy hand. Old maid can be played With 2 because you still dont know which card is the old maid and the loser is the one left with it. But happy families needs a dummy hand if playing with 2
