Anytime we go skiing, we make an effort to stay right on the slopes because it’s SO difficult to carry all our ski equipment back to the car and drive to wherever we are staying. After using this, I feel like the difficulty is over. Part of what was so hard was having to carry our kids skis as well. This actually fits them and allows them to carry their OWN skis! This past week, we went skiing and it was so nice but so foreign to have free hands! Both our skis and our poles fit into this backpack. I also have Apex ski boots, where the exoskeleton of the boot is removable and I was able sling those across the backpack as well. If you’re by yourself and don’t have help putting the skis in the backpack after you’re wearing it, it’s very easy to put them in the backpack and then put it on your back. 100% worth getting is you’re tired of carrying skis!

We have previously purchased two of the ski and pole strap carriers and now this backpack carrier for our kid and all work great! Makes going to and from the car much easier, especially with kids in tow.

I bought this to carry my skis for inbound hiking at A-basin, Aspen Highlands, Telluride, Breck, etc....It works pretty well. It is easy to have with you and doesn't take up a ton of space. I just wear it under my coat until I need it. I wish the bottom strap and the top strap were about an inch or two longer. If you buckle the top strap under the toes piece it makes the skis very top-heavy (I have 177's that are 108 underfoot, a bigger ski would be a bigger problem) and they continue to tilt to the side which is not ideal. I can barely get the top strap over my toe piece which makes it much better. If the top strap or the bottom strap was longer it would be perfect. Although it would make it so you couldn't fold it into its pouch, I would like to see some rigidity in the backpack, it's kind of flimsy. I'm going to cut a piece of thin plastic and insert it in the zippered pouch for rigidity. This is perfect for someone who wants to carry their skis from car to lift. A few modifications and they would sell a ton of these to all the inbounds hikers out there.

I had high hopes. Dissatisfied and disappointed. I read the installation instructions. I watched the (very poor) video. There’s no way this would hold my skis. Returned.
