Arabic Phrases FD (For Dummies)

Learnt a few phrases very quickly.Tried out on egyptian friend who understood me,no one understands my english so that's a bonus. Seriously now,I found this book very easy to use.The description for pronounciation very helpful.Light weight for travelling and sure to help in most situations on holiday.Study Skills: The Essential Guide for Students (An Amazon.co.uk Exclusive)

This was a present for someone about to work in Dubai. They've found it very useful and taken it to Dubai with them. Excellent product and easy to use.

Good for a reference but it’s Arabic not Egyptian my fault, get the Egyptian guide instead 👍

I gave it a whirl in Abu Dhabi and got by a bit alythough everyone spoke English

It’s okay… provided you have someone who speaks Arabic already to assist with pronunciation. Bought this and the Arabic for dummies book. Thankfully my husband is around to help

I have used this a couple of times whilst in the middle east and so far it hasn't let me down. The layout of the book is simple enough to understand and the index is great for when you want to find a particular word. A good purchase for anyone visiting this region of the world.

Simple method of learning phrases

Not the best of the Arabic for dummies book. This one has no arabic letters and everything is ltransliteration. It’s good for someone who doesn’t know the alphabet and wants to know basic phrases.

Only transcribed sentences, not in original arabic script. Phrases are also not very useful in practical circumstances. A real shame!
