Bought this for an adult friend's Christian baptism. I loved it because not only does it have significance being a cross for a person of faith, it is also called "The hands of friendship cross" and thefore felt it held significance for our friendship as we have often "held each other's hand" through tough times and shared lots of good times side by side.It is heavy and you could stand it against a wall say on a mantlepiece but comes with a fixing hole at the back and think it would look lovely on any wall. It is made of resin but painted to look like wood. It has a smooth feel to the touch and is modern in appearance.I checked with another friend who is catholic first to see if she felt it was appropriate for a baptism gift and she said her family would love to have such a thing on the wall and she really liked it, which helped me decide to buy it. Gifted it to my friend at her baptism yesterday and she was really happy with it and loved the additional "friendship" theme of the cross.Comes in a standard white box telling you on the outside that it is a "Hands of friendship cross" and is positioned in polystyrene. Unfortunatelly the polystyrene had broken inside the box with the one I received, which was a bit strange as the box and cross were fine, but personally I felt the polystyrene made it look a bit cheap anyway. I wrapped the cross in some lovely girlie tissue paper and then put some bubble wrap around it before returning it to the box, which I also wrapped in some quality gift wrap suitable for a lady and tied some traditional ribbon around it and it looked very classy.I would recommend this item. Was well received and was very different to some more traditional gifts my friend received. It is a good choice for a modern person of faith.

I was extremely pleasantly suprised when this turned up ! Much bigger and heavier than i imagined. Its so beautifully made with lovely detail. A special gift which was very much loved.

Wonderful! Great detail and solid wood. Has a proper little hinge for hanging at the back. If you make a stand up one of these i will be so impressed. For what i used it for i had to balance it. But well worth the money and very well made. Thanks 👌

Absolutely love this item. It really is well made and looks way more expensive than it is. It’s so lovely symbolising the hand of Jesus taking your hand in friendship.Recommend it completely.

Bought as a baptism gift for my adult son and he loved it ….. He is an artist himself so his opinion justified this work of someone very creative with that modern feel of faith and friendship.
