A little biased at times, but an intriguing read nonetheless. An accurate and frank portrayal of the period it’s set in, many important issues are raised that we can all apply to our everyday lives. Struggled to put it down at times, lots of lessons to be learnt. It will leave you pondering…

From didactic to polemic...
...to fabulous. As in fable. This novel seems to want to be all three. its characters feel like ciphers, constructed to shed different rays of light on the views - of history, of the role of money and of human weaknesses - that the author wants to share with us. These views happen to align pretty much with my own, so no challenge there but he can certainly write, with a self confidence that allows simple, short sentences with no literary showboating. I'd hover between three and four stars because it is by no means a great book; the characters only seem to develop as required for him to make his points, which also require global travel and coincidence that stretch credibility. Perhaps this character lightness is at its most extreme with their shared obsession, the landed lady, whose hollowness is I guess meant to be a metaphor in itself, but...well, like her, this novel is a bit of a bagel with interesting chewy stuff on the edges but nothing really solid in the middle.

A very good read!
I really enjoyed this novel, especially the end bits! Three triplet brothers, separated as toddlers, could have so different perceptions of one woman’s love. Forces of nature and nature were at play with their destinies. Money, Power, Love. Which would you truly choose?!

Good fictional read for non-fictional readers
It's not very often I read fictional books, but I wanted something lighthearted for a holiday read. I found it entertaining and also educative, it was thought -provoking in a way I'm not used to, and will give credit to the story which made it easy to relate to and also a memorable one. I'll recommend it to someone who wants to read something light for a change, and be prepared to be entertained educationally.

I loved reading this book
I loved reading this book. I learned a lot from the history within, it is clearly well researched and a fascinating insight into how society and culture has developed and changed. The philosophical and ethical edge is riveting and it is a book which one does not want to put down, it is a real page-turner. The characters are wonderful and very realistic - they draw one in - emotionally. The prose is beautiful, witty, poignant, funny and a work of art.I adore the quotes at the beginning of the chapters. This book is an absolute must read. Joss Sheldon is a superbly talented writer. A top-notch novel, faultless in fact.

My husband reads a lot and I bought this as a gift along other books. They writing style is not good at all and it was a more of a chore to read.

Quirky but Classic! A must read!
My favorite book is Candide by Voltaire. The moment I started reading Money Power Love I was shocked at how much it reminded me of Candide. Quirrky, yet Classic.

WONDERFULLY UNIQUE & INTRIGUING!
Initially, I was a little reluctant to invest the time to read this recommended book as it appeared not to be my typical choice of literature, but I am so glad that I did!
