Naissance Clove Bud Essential Oil (no. 183) 30ml - Pure, Natural, Cruelty Free, Steam Distilled and Undiluted - for Use in Aromatherapy & Diffusers

I bought this because I was suffering from major toothache that wouldn't go away. I didn't want to keep taking ibuprofen and paracetamol, so this was the next best thing. When it arrived, I was greeting by the over powering scent of cloves, something so powerful that my cat fled in terror.That aside, it seems to work wonderfully and for those who are wondering how to use it for your tooth and gums, it's pretty simple. With a bit of cotton wool or cotton bud, soak it in the clove oil and put it against your tooth. But be warned. Your mouth will make you believe you've turned into a dragon for about 10 minutes or so.

After a "great for oral health" mouthwash trashed my husband's teeth, turning them orange and stripping off their enamel, he was totally miserable and in constant pain from sensitive teeth. Not about to buy another commercial mouthwash, I threw together a mouthwash of fractionated coconut oil, clove oil and peppermint oil. All the products were by Naissance, who I've had very positive experiences with. I used a clear glass bottle (he broke the amber one by accident). I filled it with the oil, then added about 30 drops each of the clove and peppermint. Fantastic relief. Peppermint has great antiseptic properties & a nice taste. Clove is fantastic for oral pain and is popular with dentists. Frequent swishing of my homemade mouthwash after each meal and whenever his teeth were bothering him, combined with more tooth brushing, and my hubby's mouth is in much better condition. I just made him his third batch of mouthwash this morning and am now a huge fan of clove oil.

I 'd say really apply the tiniest amount and maybe use a dropper or cottonbud for accuracy cos it really burns.Yes it tastes nasty too,really nasty.While this product killed the pain of a misbehaving wisdom tooth almost instantly I have a severe irritation to my mouth, lips and surrounding area.Toothache makes you desperate so I'd probably use again but really really handle with care.

My wisdom teeth have started coming through and are cutting up my inner cheeks so badly. I have been in agony for the past week, snapping at anyone that’s asked me to repeat myself and was quite skeptical about this working so well as I’ve gone through so many different types of gels like bonjela etc as well as taking pain killers and nothing has worked. But after using this, it felt very strange and stung for about 30 seconds but it’s numbed the area a treat!

This is very good value for money. You couldn't get a bottle of clove oil of this size for this price on the high street. I was worried that it may be a weak/diluted version, but it is definitely good quality and full strength. Its in a good quality bottle - dark coloured which is important - to protect the oil quality inside.I use this mixed into a carrier lotion for skin problems and it's very effective (ratio of 1 drop of oil per 2ml of lotion). You can feel the warmth of the cloves at this ratio, so I'm confident it's a good quality oil.

Ordered this as was suffering from severe pain with my wisdom teeth coming through.I put a few drops of this on a cotton bud so I could place it on my back teeth, where the pain was. It really does NOT smell nice or taste nice! However, works pretty quickly and relieves the pain and sensitivity almost instantly.I first tried this product when it arrived yesterday evening and did feel nauseous after using - I assumed that this may had been as a result of the painkillers I had taken earlier. However, I used it again this morning and was immediately sick (I only used a drop on a cotton bud). Product does work, but unfortunately does not agree with me!!

My son couldn’t sleep because his wisdom tooth started troubling him. I didn’t want to keep giving him Paracetamol and this worked a treat. It really got rid of the pain.It smells really strongly, not great taste and it has a slightly burning sensation so careful when applying but great for toothaches.

I had priced out essential oils at herbalist shops here in Italy and this was nearly half the cost. Trusting the good reviews, I ordered this and a few other oils and they seem to be of a fabulous quality. Nice strong bracing smell and immediate numbing effect on the gums speaks to the fact that this is a good, properly concentrate, pure oil.I use clove oil in a lot of different applications, from mouth health to household cleaners so the 30 ml bottle will definitely come in handy as opposed to the usual 10 mls sold in the shops. I blend this with rosemary oil and when dilute in a spray cleaner, the smell is really like basil, believe it or not! Basil contains eugenol as one of its scent components so it does add up, but just to assure that using this doesn't necessarily make your house smell like either Christmas or a dentists office all the time!
