Great fun
I bought this for my 5year old grandson, he had a great time sawing and nailing Christmas day without any mess. A 5 minute wonder, the 'wood' is just coulered foam. But he really enjoyed it. I would have liked to order the extra foam set but amazon would only supply this if I increased my total order value, a real nuisance and will make me think twice about using amazon in future

Disappointed
My son didn't get much fun out of this, I thought the material would be more wood like but as others have said its just pieces of foam. The end results weren't like the pictures.

Not made from wood.
Not impressed. I expected this to be made of wood. It's not. It's cheap polystyrene material with plastic nails. Not what I would expect in a "real construction set"

Bought for my 6yr old. He managed to saw and hammer and really enjoyed it however I felt the instructions need to be a little simpler so child can at least try to understand instead of parent telling them what they need to do

Not what I expected
I was a little disappointed that the pieces were not real wood. I couldn't find anywhere on the site where it said what the building pieces were made of. I should have read the reviews. That being said my grandson had fun cutting and making the items. I probably wouldn't have ordered it if I had known.

Cute idea
This was given to my almost 6 year old son for Christmas. It was something he requested. He and Daddy sat down Christmas Day to build a plane and all the measuring numbers is a bit tedeous so he was bored the first hour. Once all the piecea were cut, I think he enjoyed assembling the plane. I doubt they'll make any more.

"Real" construction, with foam?
This kit was a huge disappointment. The name is very deceiving... I was expecting some sort of light wood, but it is foam. I was viewing on my phone so did not zoom in far enough to see the details. My son would have thought this was a major joke, so I returned it. It might be fun for a younger child, maybe 6 or 7, but not for my 10 year old.

Quality a little less than expected but fun
My son and husband enjoyed doing this together but the quality is ehh. The saw doesn't cut the styrofoam straight so the project doesn't look clean like the photos. However the fun they had doing it was worth it and the fact that it's safe for kids it good too...no worries about injury. Make sure to have a refill kit because 1 mistake and you don't have supplies to redo it.

Was not what I was expecting. Found them to be difficult to cut and secure using the tools provided. Don’t for directions were very small and difficult to read.

The building "material" is a bit weird.
The material is like a foam coffee cup, a little weird. Cutting it was difficult for my 7 year old boyand soso for 11 year old girl who handles a Dremel power tool

It was easy to cut with scissors
This product was made to resemble wood, but was actually made out of very flimsy foam. It was easy to cut with scissors, but pulled apart as soon as it was constructed.
