Safe and reliable
Great gloves! Used them with my mandolin multiple times and have protected my hands and nails from multiple scratches.

Great protection
Excellent gloves. I am building a premade shed which has sharp edges and so far they have prevented any cuts. The fit is great for handing small screws and a screwdriver.

A must for dodgy/clumsy DIYers!
I recently bought a Dremel multi-tool - and not trusting myself with fiddly attachments and high-speed cutting blades, I bought the NoCry gloves for peace of mind. I bought the small size (I'm a size 8/10 female) and the gloves are a perfect fit - with enough give and flexibility for most activities (I would imagine!). They're nice and stretchy, lightweight and very comfortable to wear - but feel very hardwearing. The quality of these gloves is actually really very high - they come in a sealed bag, with a link to a free recipe book (which I haven't looked at yet, I must admit). I was a little dubious about how something that felt essentially like a very substantial knitted glove could actually protect your hands from sharp blades sufficiently, to give you any real peace of mind. So, anyway, out came the Dremel - to be closely followed by a Stanley blade knife, as I hacked away at some rubber tubing. The inevitable happened, my hand slipped - and I sliced into the glove at high speed with the Stanley knife, across the base of my thumb and up towards my palm and fingers. I took the glove off and all that was visible was the faintest pink mark. I was so impressed that I showed my partner (who is actually a Hand Surgeon!) and apparently, had I not been wearing the gloves, I'd have been in A&E with sliced tendons and months of rehab/hand therapy ahead of me. That's all I needed to know! I can now highly recommend these gloves for any kind of DIY job that involves sharp objects, an inability to keep a steady hand and a false belief that the user has either Kevlar skin or developed force shield super powers. I had a good look at the gloves after the incident, and couldn't even see where the blade had been - the weave was intact - but my hand was left with a slightly bruised pink line for days, so I'm convinced these gloves saved my bacon. I'll definitely be buying another pair if these ever wear out (although given how hardwearing they seem to be, that's probably not anytime soon).

Very good, comfortable gloves for cut resistance
I purchased these for a woodworking course which I'd booked onto, as I'm a little clumsy when it comes to hand tools, and have been very impressed so far. Of course, the first thing I did upon receiving the gloves was to put them on and try my sharpest knife against them and I can confirm that yes, they do stop you from being cut, and there is no visible damage to the gloves. My only reason for giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is that they're very good for cut resistance (against a long, sharp edge, such as the blade of a knife), but a thin, piercing object, such as the tip of a knife or a skewer is able to slip between the fibres and could spike you. (It does specifically mention in the instructions that the gloves are not spike or heat resistant though). In addition, as the gloves are not padded, any crushing injuries or impacts can still do your hands some damage. This is not really a criticism though, as thicker gloves would not allow the same level of dexterity. I also realised after the gloves arrived how many other uses for them there - I've used them particularly with a cutting mandoline in the kitchen to prevent cuts, and also when fixing a few things on the car, which inevitably involves reaching into a very small gap full of razor sharp metal edges. I've not tried machine washing them as yet, but a quick rinse in the sink seemed to clean off any stains and they dry quickly. I measured my hands as pretty much in the middle of the 'medium' size and they're a really good fit. There's obviously a slight reduction in dexterity when using gloves, but these are no thicker or harder to work in than normal knitted gloves. Overall, very good gloves for any kind of work with a risk of cuts, but still be aware of any sharp points being able to spike through.

These NoCry gloves are fantastic
I bought a pair of these gloves to use while boning meat or filleting fish with my very sharp knives or slicing vegetables with my mandolin. They are comfortable to wear and they really do help to protect you from those nasty kitchen accidents. I thoroughly recommend them. I did not want to get them bloody or fishy so I bought some food grade rubber gloves to wear over the top of them to keep them clean. Works a treat, but you can still wash them when you need to. I also do woodwork and carving with very sharp tools. It is really easy to cut yourself when carving a spoon or bowl so wearing NoCry gloves really makes sense. Why take the risk of hurting yourself? I am recommending these excellent gloves to all my friends, housewives, cooks, chefs, carpenters. A simple and cost effective way to protect yourselves. Stay safe! Last. The NoCry owner, Raino, took the trouble to write to me asking if I was happy and satisfied with my purchase? I had ordered the Medium gloves when I should have ordered the Large ones. My error! But Raino sent me a pair of Large gloves immediately! It isn't often that you get that kind of customer service these days and it ain't often I right rave reviews. In fact, I think this is the first time I have done it. Well done Raino. Brilliant service, Brilliant gloves. Proper Five Star recommendation from me!

Sizes not accurate
These gloves seem ok, first thing I noticed was the size, measured my size according to the chart supplied in the description. Bought medium, guess what tight fit, can I be bothered to return them, well no, hopefully they will stretch, but they are quality gloves, just be aware, buy a bigger size.

These arrived today. I took a risk and trusted the size guide on the site ... they fit - but it is a tight fit. The hand section is a nice firm fit but the fingers are made for skinnier ones than mine. I am expecting them to have a bit of stretch in them so with some wear they should be just right. My son didn't think they looked cut proof and tried them out for himself. He is happy to confirm they work a treat for a slicing action but not so much for a stab - he was smart enough to take his hand out before trying that one :-)
