Great Item
I have had pain in my knee for a long while then I saw this on Amazon. Wonderful item easy to use, place ball in fridge then take out when ready to use. Roll ball on sore area so easy to apply and works so well. Wish I had purchased long before. Item comes in a box then has a pouch to store. Has helped my knee but could use on arm or shoulder would recommend.

Not as great as hoped
I would recommend but eases pain rather than relieves it. Got some ginger oil to help which is nice but fingers can rub it in as well as the roller

lightweight and compact
The media could not be loaded. This massage ball came very nicely packed in a box with plastic wrap around it.The roller ball is super straightforward to use but the box has all instructions printed on it.The ball is very lightweight and fits well in my hand. It’s three in one means use it cold, hot or with a massage oil.The massage ball is quite effective and I really like to use it hot to relieve my back pain. It works and can feel my muscles loosen when I get the massage.I highly recommend it and especially a gift for christmas, birthday, wedding etc.

Doesn't target the deep muscles
Even without putting the ball in the freezer, it has a cooling effect on the skin. I found it easy to hold and the ball rolls smoothly in its holder. That said, I didn't find it did anything for the deep muscles, e.g. my calf. The only places I found it useful, was when the bone was near the surface, for example, either side of the shin or around my knee. I thought that maybe my natural body weight would help to target the muscles and so, I rested my calm on top of it and moved back and forth. The base is unstable anyway, therefore, it tipped over straight away. Maybe it would be more helpful to those with an injury, as the cold and light stimulation wouldn't be too much. It's enjoyable to use on my face though, especially when I'm feeling hot. I do like that essential oils can be added too.

Definitely provides pain relief!
The media could not be loaded. I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it is to use and how nice it feels to use it especially around the neck and shoulder area. You don't need to press in it a lot, literally just roll it up and down your skin and it is to relaxing! It's so easy to reach out for and also not hard to store considering its size!Very happy with this little tool!

Works well on soft tissue but limited benefit on boney joints
Light, compact and easy to use. generally better than an ice pack of soft tissues but because of round shape not so effective on bony areas and joints

Quality product - take care with temperature
This really is a very nicely made high-quality product that is ideal to work on muscles or just to aid with stress relief and relaxation. We didn't really find a lot of benefits in using an oil but that might depend on the oil you choose and the amount you apply to the skin.As we are really only using this to relax I would be wary of using the steel ball out of the freezer, the risk of skin damage would encourage me to use it through a covering to avoid any risk of a frost burn. It has to be said that a freezing cold ball is perhaps not the relaxing experience we would be seeking! We got the best from it by immersing the ball in a bowl of hot water, it will take a little practice to get this right as it takes a while to warm up and can still be too cold for some people, but with hotter water can feel too hot when applied. We took to testing it on an arm before applying it to the back and shoulders. we start with 5 minutes in hot water and pop it back in if it is still too cool to the touchFor all of this, I do recommend this for massage amateurs, it is very easy to use and can be very effective in relaxing you - don't be put off by needing to take a little time to get it right - the results make it worthwhile, and after 2 or 3 times you will know exactly the right "settings" for you.

Very beneficial and simple to use
This is a very easy to use product. It is comfortable to hold and includes what feels like a very premium drawstring storage pouch.A very beneficial massage tool. Although more for near surface issues and relief than for deep muscle problems. Although being a metal ball it is possible to press quite firmly with it.I think the product would be improved if it was possible to remove the ball from the casing to use alone. I do not know how much weight and pressure the casing can take. Being able to put most of your weight on just the ball would provide a great higher pressure massage for different areas. Places like the legs, and back could benefit from sitting or lying on top of just the ball. I just would not want to risk doing so in this case. Being able to remove the ball would mean it and the internal casing could be easily cleaned of any massage oils which have been used.It does seem to be a bit expensive at the current selling price of £19.99. Although I have not used any similar products to be able to compare their quality and performance.
