Denby 193043774 Cast Iron Shallow Casserole, Pomegranate, 30 cm

This is my second Denby pot and I love the brand! They’re a cheaper alternative to the more well known brand but the quality is amazing! Use mine on an induction hob and works perfectly. Definitely recommend!

This pot is so versatile. I love having a pot that can go from cooker top to oven. I dont use oil - I saute with water or vegetable stock rather than fry with oil - so sometimes there's food burnt onto the surface (if i dont do a good job of deglazing with water/stock as I go) but it comes off easily with a microfiber dish cloth in hot soapy water. I cook pretty much everything in this pot so it lives on the cooker top. Great price for a quality item (don't forget the handles get hot too - its very good at evenly distributing heat - so use an oven glove)

This is a high quality product.. it looks good and is also a great dish for making currys and casseroles.. I've fed 6 healthy eaters with a balti made in it.. its heavy and holds the heat really well.. we were able to set it in the middle of thr table and everyone helped themselves.. the dish looks the part..if you entertain this is perfect dish for the job.. ive attached a photo..In fact we've just bought another one as a gift..

This is fabulous. It is so easy to clean with just light rubbing with a sponge and nothing seems to stick fast. I use it almost every day. Be warned though, it is very solid and heavy. It looks so beautiful on the table as a serving dish and on the stove when cooking - I bought the red one. There are other brands that cost 4 or 5 times more than this but I doubt that they will be any better. I love it and highly recommend this to anyone looking for a cast iron casserole dish.

Really pleased with it, it looks nice sitting out on my work top. It is heavy but I knew that when I bought it. Easy to clean, just as good if not better than more expensive brands.

I have been using this for several months on my induction hob and absolutely love it. Obviously being a brand snob I would have loved a le creuset but that was unaffordable.In reality I do not see how the le creuset could perform any better - this pot is a pleasure coooking with and so far I have not had any lengthy cleaning sessions. Induction cooking does mean you can cook long and slow with no hot spots.Great great pot and with the saving I was able to buy another in the Denby range.

Looks good, but the base is not completely flat, which isn't great for cooking on the Aga hot plate. However it is the perfect size for post roasting a whole chicken with a few veg, so I'll probably mainly use it for pot roasts.

Very happy with this purchase. Great for cooking on the hob and in the oven, stays hot for ages, and best of all it’s easy to clean. Great buy.
