Fluval Chi Cover

When I bought my Fluval Chi my main worry was the fish jumping out of the top (they're a bit brave, or just plain stupid) so my first priority was to get a lid sorted, less than a minute later I had ordered this, a plastic lid designed & produced by Fluval themselves, and less than 48 hours later it arrived in perfect condition. It fits on the top of the tank well and slows down the evaporation rates in your tank, the gap between the middle of the lid and the pump / light bit allows you to feed your fish effortlessly and it still looks great.

Product went missing in the post and a full refund was given. 1 month later the lid turned up by post intact and in good condition (must mention that the reason that this turned up late lays with Royal Mail). The lid is as described which not only prevents the loss of water through evaporation but also prevents fish getting out or other animals getting in.I would recommend this SELLER and will consider buying from them again

For those looking to buy this lid for 'Fluval Chi' tank like we did, I cannot recommend the product enough! The easiest way for me to write the review is a small list in no particular order.a) We were not home to collect the order so the delivery person left it in our enclosed front porch. The package was wrapped in the usual amazon box and also a clear plastic wrapping on top. We were slightly concerned just incase the product was damaged but it wasn'tb) opened the box to check the content and there was 1 Fluval Chi lid as described. Completely intact. The lid has small circles under each of the 4 corners which makes it easier to stabilise the lid on the Fluval Chi tank.For those who are wondering about the purpose of the 'gap' in the lid, that is actually meant for the Fluval Chi Filter who's size is approximately the same as that of the gap. If you already have a filter do not worry about this gap because that was the first thing we realised and were worried that the fish we were going to buy would jump out through it. There is a second gap for wiring to go through i.e. filter or heater or whatever else you would have in the tank with wires.Solutions to covering the gap if you too are worried your fish will jump out :1. We went to the Petshop to inquire about solutions to cover the gap and were told that we could easily stretch a pair of tights to cover the gap up. We could then cut the tights a little bit from the sides so that they don't hang.2. Buy mesh or net from the craft store and stick this onto the area of the gap (my husband & I believe this will make the gap look less apparent and not spoil the aesthetic of the overall thank)We have been advised to use 'fish glue' to stick anything we end up using to cover the tank. After some research I have noted that the best and most safest glue would be - Wood Glue -Overall, we are happy with the product and the entire tank looks pleasing to the eye. We have yet to buy our fish but are happy that there are solutions to cover the gap. Will recommend

Bought this cover after my goldfish jumped out of the Fluval Chi tank. Luckily, I managed to save him and this lid has done the job of keeping the fish where he belongs!Fits perfectly on top of the tank whilst still allowing water to flow over as the design of the chi requires. Made of plastic and easy to fit (just sits on top). Can be lifted off to feed or top up water without any trouble at all. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely Fantastic! The Fluval Chi comes without a lid as per minimalist design, this cover gives me the reassurance that no fishes will do any jumpies during the night or when I'm out, even stops the snail from leaving.The lid does gather some water droplets underneath/inside due to water evaporation but this can easily be wiped clear.great product!

The lid fits really well on the tank and you can't really see it unless you are looking down on the tank. It did take a long time to arrive though, 3/4 weeks

ok so i bought this as i was buying a fluval chi and had read reviews about fish 'jumping out' when startled etc and i didnt quite fancy that!! on a whole its ok it does its job. HOWEVER....if you are looking at this before purchasing a fluval chi then please dont buy one! i regret it! it looks the part but TWICE a day i have to top the water up because even with this cover its still open in places and evaporates ridiculously quickly! the filteration system is quiet but poor! fish struggle for oxygen as the design means its more tall then wide so less air space at the top especially as the fountain sticks in most of the middle. too late to return now but i will definatly be saving up to get a proper tank this is just basically cruel like the biorbs. please avoid, do your research you will find most experts will agree!!
