Q: How well do the touchscreen fingertips work? I have my phone in a phone holder under a plastic cover so I need something quite responsive.

I have not even got my gloves yet but I know trying to txt with them will be a no no. Maybe phone calls if the numbers are already programed in and you just have press a few keys or voice activated would be better. You could Macgyver it, make a cut on the gloves index finger so the top fits like a hood on your finger that you can pull back when you want to use your device. You fit the hooded part with a thin strip of velcro to close it.

Q: What size? measured my hand at 8.5" , but for a 6ft average build man, what size would you advise?

These are excellent winter gloves the large size would suit.

My large ones are a bit baggy on the tip of the thumb and fingers but that may be just my hand...anyways this item is cheap enough to try, and will last you only 1 winter anyway if used daily
