Horror House of Perversion: An Extreme Horror novella

Thoroughly enjoyed this read. It was grittty, harsh, brutal,and vengeful. But not just as you would expect. A justified vengeance for those whom were brutalized in such a sickening way. It had you enthralled from start, pulling you into a world of pain and suffering, at the same time world of vengeance and the scorned. Feelings of justification being served, with the most extreme examples rightly served. The characters where all amazing, each bringing a different backdrop to their character. The storyline was great and although you sort of knew where it was heading, you are still shocked by what happens, and then the twist at the end an added bonus that gets you again. Definitely worth checking out, i would definitely recommend it.

Female rage at its finest. Love a quick revenge horror novella. Kinda funny in all the wrong places too. Highly recommend

Pretty simple supernatural revenge plot with good gore description. Interesting but not wholly unpredicatable twist ending for one of the characters.

That was creepy and bloody. Just what I needed. I love stories of revenge and this one hits just right.

Fast paste intriguing story full of shocks & horrendous surprises the ultimate revenge scenario oddly sexual & unobtainable a must read

This was such a fun little read, which I devoured in one sitting, although internet went down before I could review...maybe it’s telling me something lol 😆This was my first Carl John Lee which I’ve read, but I’ll most definitely be reading more. It involves a group of ex high school friends who are meeting up for a 20 year reunion. That’s all I’m going to say about this novella as it’s a short read and quite fast paced. Highly recommended!!

Bloody, intense, revenge story. A quick read and really fun ride. It kept me on the edge of my seat. This is one of my favorite horror stories just because the revenge was so sweet. I’m excited to read the next one

Need to reread this again 0.0 insane novel the gore is one thing, but the twists at the end were another. Definitely add this to your tbr as it is a short page turner that will help you reach your reading goal.

You know a book is going to be good when it has you smiling from the first few lines. After reading and loving Psychic Teenage Bloodbath I was super keen to read more from Uncle Carl and this one didn’t disappoint.Today’s piece of advice is don’t pick up hitchhikers especially beautiful ones dressed in white. I know how tempting that may be but seriously don’t do it.This was a really quick, fantastic tale of revenge that saw a group of people get exactly what they deserved. It also has a clever moment at the end that made you look back over the story and go yup that was well done. Can’t wait to get into book 2.

This is a very odd book. The pros: short, fast, to-the-point, visceral, occasionally unnerving. The characters are all odious, but the book lives on its action. All of this being said, the plot takes some unexpected and strange turns, sometimes feeling like a hodgepodge of horror ideas mashed together into a single story (something that becomes all the more noticeable in a work this shirt). I’ll go with 4 stars because there are some good horror moments and the book accomplishes it’s exploitation film style effectively. Carl John Lee writes some good afterwords. Definitely worth it for that alone.

Horror House of Perversion by Carl John Lee was a fast and immensely entertaining read that combines elements of southern gothic, extreme horror, 70’s exploitation, and haunted house stories into a grim, provocative, and humorous novella.This was the first book I’ve read by Lee and it won’t be the last.The author originally conceived the story in 1975 as an I’ll fated screenplay pitch for Roger Corman. As a book written recently, it reads like a truly messed up and updated Corman film. I would love to have seen this as a 70’s Corman movie.
