BVTech 5 Port PoE Switch (4 PoE Ports | 1 Uplink Port) - 65W - 802.3af - POE-SW501

I purchased this to power a couple of Hikvision cameras around an outbuilding at my house. I installed a single cat5e out to the building, and this gives me capacity for 4 PoE devices. It's been in for a few weeks now and so far it's worked flawlessly. It is a lot larger than I'd anticipated, but it does contain it's own power supply (Powered with a standard kettle lead), so that's probably why. For the price of this thing you really can't go wrong. I've also fitted one in a customers loft to feed some CCTV cameras around their house. It seems custom made for CCTV and wireless access points. EDIT. I have since purchased the 6 port version which sits in my house powering 1 turret camera and a Leftek PTZ camera in port 1. With the 6 port version having a higher power output it powers all the functions of the PTZ using just the Cat5e feed. I've also fitted several of these into my customers houses with great results, and so far no failures. If you need a switch for network cameras I can't recommend these highly enough. Just make sure you get the right version for your needs as the different port options have different power ratings.

A really nice high specification POE switch. The packaging was good & strong & the supplied instruction booklet was easy to follow & understand. The front indicator lights showing POE & Data connection is really helpful. The switch auto detects a POE compatible connected device so if you are unsure your device is POE then just plug it in & see if the orange light for that port illuminates. I use my POE switch for connecting IP cameras. I've had the switch for a couple of months now & had no issues whatsoever, intact I'm considering buying another. Delivery was fast & free with my Prime. To conclude, I"m extremely satisfied with the BV-Tech 5 port switch & recommend it with confidence.

Can't fault the product, the one thing I would say however is that if you are looking to power cctv cameras double check that they are not passive POE. Cameras requiring passive POE will not work.The switch works perfectly with equipment requiring af/at etc.This is just a heads up as the product description can lead one to believe that it will work will "all" POE equipment."The POE-SW501 is suitable for IP-based surveillance cameras, but will work with any device that uses power over Ethernet."

My first experience of entering the CCTV field. Great product works straight out of the box. Well made robust product. My system is not set up yet but I have made sure it works before final fitting.

Works exactly as described, I use this to power a PoE ip camera and 1 normal Ip camera and does the job spot on.Theres an extra LED on each port to inform you if supplying power to the device which it does.of course this would have been better if 1000mbps and the unit is slightly on the larger size compared to netgears PoE switches but this unit is a fraction of the price.I would defiantly buy another if required

I have had no issues with this product. It arrived in a timely fashion, and was adequately packaged.It is plug-n-play, and will auto-sense whether power needs to be supplied over Ethernet. The only way this could be any better is if it supported Gigabit Ethernet, but for the price, it is very good. A great addition to any SOHO network.

I put this in an external IP rated box to connect outdoor cameras - it's easier to route one Ethernet cable through the wall and then cable the cameras separately externally with just Ethernet than having four transformers inside and separate exit points to each camera. It has been running flawlessly for a couple of months now.

Works as described, running cctv cameras over max 20m runs, no drop outs, stays cool under load.

I bought this for the PoE+ feature to be able to power other PoE device downstream. No issues. I like that it has a second uplink port .

An unbelievable deal for a no-nonsense POE switch. There is literally no setup, just plug and play. This is powering my 4 HD security cams and works flawlessly within my home network. The price is unbelievable as well considering power output.
