Would this work for front door to stop rain getting in?

It might help light rain but not a heavy downpour or wind driven rain.

Can this be re-used with fresh tape?

Yes. If you take care when removing them. We used them to seal the whole house during renovations. Brilliant item, and very sturdy plastic. Not what I expected.

Can an extra tape be purchased?

It comes with double sided tape so you could purchase some more
