This reel is great, has a smooth action and I have caught a ton of fish on it since purchasing it, I chose the 3000 reel for my light rig. I loved it so much, that I purchased a second 4000 reel for my a larger rig set up. I highly recommend this reel a great piece of kit for a great price.

Very nice spinning reel. Spins smoothly and casts a mile. I'm going to use it for steelhead fishing this fall and winter. I got the 2000 size. The IPX 5 water protection is a nice feature also considering I fish in the rain, sleet and snow. I have other Kastking reels and have always found them to be of high quality.

I have had this reel for a few months and wanted to test it out on Salmon fishing. I have caught several fish between 10-15lb. The drag works well, however, the weight of the reel is a little heavy. Overall, for the price, it is a nice reel.

The media could not be loaded. This reel held up against an afternoon of Gator blues ranging between 37-44 inches. These fish fight hard, and this reel kept up. The drag worked fantastically. It was smooth and worked the fish well. It honestly has out performed some of my big name brand reels. I will be outfitting the rest of my rods with the brand. They have held up, are comfortable, serious value, and actually hold up fishing!

This is a superior reel for a good price. $40-$70 is reasonable. If you abuse the reel it will put up with it but you may have to polish the guide. So don’t abuse your reel!Excellent progressive breaking - easy to fine tune for trout or if you want to play with bluegill or bass on the line.Smooth out feed for long casting.Handle is absorbent but dries quickly. I don’t understand this feature nor did I think I needed it. But I love it. And I wish my other reels had it. The grip is easy to grip, comfortable, and dries quickly when it gets wet.On top of it all, it’s reasonably light which means it will have a better range of rods it can combine with a wide range of rods without being a detriment to a well balanced rod. Because it unloads so smoothly, this reel will work with an ultralight but could mess with the balance so you’d have to practice casting with it. Anything medium light (spinning) and up will go great with this reel.

Very good reel for freshwater fishing. Very smooth, strong, and quick. Very affordable and overall a very well product to purchase. I love mine and would recommend it to other fishermen.

I normally don't write reviews, but I felt I had to on this. I live in Florida and I was a very serious fisherman. I mainly do a lot of Wade fishing with plugs. I stopped fishing 5 years after my wife passed away. But I decided to start fishing again and I was looking for a good reel for my G-Loomis rod. After looking at the reviews for this reel, and watching a video I figured for the money I would try it. I bought the 5000 and went out fishing. I was blown away by how smooth the reel casted. I use a 15 lp braided line and I couldn't believe the distance I was getting.Then the action kicked in, I caught 15 fish that day and some of them gave me a good fight and I had the opportunity to test the drag. I couldn't believe the ease that I had with the drag and how smooth and accurate it was. I was able to land all the fish. When I got home I loved the reel so much that I bought the 3000 for my other G-Loomis rod. I have been fishing every weekend since and for me I will not buy any other reel.Buy the way, I bought the OD Green and they look freaking awesome. I highly recommend this product.

Worked for 2 months... The anti reverse is broken. Whether I click the switch or not it still goes in reverse. 30 day exchange is not long enough.
