Did the buffering/rinsing to their recommended maximum time
I have thick medium length hair, and my natural colour is about a level 7 mousy colour, I was removing about 4 years worth of light-medium blonde permanent boxed dyes. I used one and half boxes.I did everything according to the instructions, and did the buffering/rinsing to their recommended maximum time. I wasn't sure if shampooing or conditioner would effect the results over the next few days, so I didn't do either until a week later. At this point, I smothered it in coconut oil and slept with it on, then shampooed the next day with T-Gel (this stuff strips everything off of hair IMO), follow by putting on Keratise conditioner. It now looks a wonderful golden blonde at about level 8, and it looks/feels in decent condition.During the process however, it is a bit stinky, and the smell isn't pleasant. But it's not that bad either. I could just about smell it the next day if I put my hair strands directly under my nose.It does dry your hair out a bit. Perhaps to the same level as if you put T-Gel on your hair for half an hour before rinsing, and then not following it up with conditioner afterwards. The colour did change when it was drying and over the next few days. At first, my hair went really light, then as it dried it went a blonde-gingery colour, and then finally, it faded into a more golden blonde colour.I love the colour it is at the moment, so it's a shame that I need to dye over it in a few weeks time as I have white hairs that I want to cover up!Anyway, I would recommend.

Not strong enough if you want to remove red. For red removals, use the "extra strong" colour b4 instead

Amazing!
I have light blonde hair, and recently got it dyed an auburn colour, semi-permanent. Once this was nearly rinsed out I used a home-dye kit to top it up but I didn't really like the tone. I tried washing it out with head and shoulders for a couple of weeks but eventually gave up and bought this. So, I followed the instructions to the letter. I tried a strand test first and nothing seemed to happen to the hair, but I thought i'd try it anyway. Piled it on, wrapped my head in a carrier bag and a towel, sat against a radiator for half an hour. The rinsing is a little boring, it takes a good 10 minute rinse, then a conditioning buffer, then another 5 minutes, but the leaflet explains this rinsing is crucialand WOW, I looked down and my hair was not dark ginger but the blonde it was before. There is a very slight ginger tinge but nothing a toning shampoo won't get rid of. I am amazed. Twice before in my life i've paid hairdressers stupid amounts of money to get rid of hair dye, and this stuff worked for £10. Plus, there's no bleach or ammonia so my hair feels in the same condition as before. The ONE drawback is the smell, it smells a bit like dog shampoo in my opinion. But I suppose I can get rid of this in the next wash.I am thoroughly impressed and recommend to anyone! The leaflet says it also leaves your hair ready to be dyed again if you wish.

Note product doesn't work on certain hair dyes
This is probably not a one star product overall but I wanted to highlight that it isn't effective on certain hair dyes. I dyed my hair with 'Crazy Colour' Sky blue semi-permanent hair dye and Colour B4 had more or less zero effect at removing it.The instruction leaflet with the ColourB4 says this:ColourB4 .... cannot remove cuticle staining. High fashion colours such as blue-black, red, purple, green etc can stain the cuticle and make removal much harder. Some standard red shade permanent hair colours also rely on cuticle staining to achieve their result. Henna based dyes also stain the cuticle and cannot be removed with Colour B4.So it won't work to remove 'Crazy Colour' hair dye and I wouldn't be surprised if it also won't work on similar dyes like 'Directions' and 'Manic Panic'.

Woks amazing
I dyed my hair black a while ago and thought it was semi-permanent however it turned out to be permanent. I ordered this product and thought the result wouldn't be greatly visible. I used this product and was stunned by the results! All the black got out and now my hair is back to natural light brown!Would defiantly recommend this product to people who are finding it really hard to loose a dark/black hair colour! The only down side is the smell of the product. I have washed my hair about 10x since using the product and the smell is still not completely gone. But apart from that, I loved it!

Hair colour remover
i had black hair and i bought this to remove the colour (even though it says black is tough to get out)it got rid of alot of the black and my hair went browny, red (Red being my old artificial colour.About a week later my hair colour went back black some how...not pure black but a dark brown colour(before and after i washed it)and still its dark brown,i wanted to remove the colour so i could go blonde but ever since i used this product,I noticed alot of my hair breaking and falling out. so im using hair treatment.i haven't even hesitated to go blonde yet.i don't blame this product for my hair coming out by the way, thats why i rate it 5 star becauseit is a very good product. I recommend anyone to buy it.It smells like sewer water.. but its great :)
