Incredible media and gaming capabilities! A great purchase!
A fantastic value console that really compliments our home entertainment area! There is a lot of bickering in the console market, some like green, some like blue. However, if you are looking for a fantastic, easy, accessible gaming solution for you and the family you really can't go wrong with either of the main consoles! We bought the XBO and the PS4 to compliment the PS3, 360 and PC etc and can say without hesitation that BOTH of these systems have some fantastic exclusives and multiplatform games. The XBO is a wonderful feat of engineering with some great media capabilities that keep the entire family entertained for hours On end. Initally I was going to cover the pros and cons of both consoles in my review, the differences between them etc... But after re reading my review, I decided to scrap that and say this... In the last few months, I have played both the XBO and the PS4 and expereinced emotions, toward gaming, that I have not had since the days of my NES, SNES, Mastersystem, MegaDrive! I feel that the last few generations or so has really pushed the gaming market in a strange direction, it became saturated with yearly releases of the same games, some getting worse after every release, it also went on far too long! By the end of the generation I thought I was done with gaming for good, I thought it was over for me... Until I played games on BOTH of these consoles! I was transformed back to a time where the creativity behind the game was the driving force, not the cash reward! This is going to be an exciting generation, regardless of system, we now have the ability to truly expereice what the developers Imaginations Intended. So let's put aside the specs for now, let's forget the colour of the box, let's sit down, and marvel at the incredible gaming experiences currently available to us on BOTH of these consoles and make some Incredible gaming memories together!

Xbox does not allow update and was dusty and controller was covered in dirt
I bought an Xbox from here and everything came like the wires controller and the Xbox itself, Xbox turned on problem is wonโt allow past the update it says there is something wrong and wonโt do much more than that, didnโt come with a battery and the controller had dirt in the cracks that looked like tobacco and when I cleaned the pad loads of dirt came off. Would not recommend just go to your local game store and get one for cheaper prices and better Quality .

Very pleasantly surprised
I'd had my doubts about the Xbox One (so much so that I opted for a PS4 when it came out...) but, as a long-time Xbox fan, I decided to give one a try. And I'm glad I did. It's a great console. The PS4 might well have more going for it in a hardware sense, but the Xbox One is a lot of fun. Very easy to use. I already had a Kinect 2.0 so I opted for the basic console. Wasn't sure what to expect, but it's a streamlined affair; nice menu, very responsive voice commands, and the hand gestures thing is brilliant, although if you buy this particular console without the Kinect, that's not really something you're going to care about. I've been playing Dead Rising 3 and Titanfall so far. The former is an extremely fun bit of zombie-swarm, smash em' up escapism while the latter is an incredible online campaign affair. I'd even go so far as to say that I'm no longer 'pro' SOny OR 'pro' Microsoft. I love both machines for different reasons. Seriously, if you're a gamer you need to at least try everything to see what works for you. Xbone gets a solid 5/5 from me.

The design on the new controller is far better than the 360 in my opinion and you can ...
Got the delivery on time as it said, all the items stated arrived and the box was undamaged. You have to do a couple updates not to much about 1GB or 2GBs. The design on the new controller is far better than the 360 in my opinion and you can press down the buttons rather smoother and easier. Rather good quality but with the Metallic part of the xbox tend to gather dust quite easily so I tend to dust it and overall nothing has gone wrong and I have had it for 2 months and it is fun and enjoyable. Edit : 1 month down the line and it is still working rather well, I have dropped my controller on numerous time and it still works fine and I have taken it apart and none of the interior or exterior part of the controller has be damaged let alone scratched. Also they give away free games every couple months which is rather nice of Microsoft.

it works but old and mucky inside
It works..... It's 10 years old ...i had a problem updating (E100 error) but managed to sort it the next day after trying for six hours the previous night, but that is not the fault of the person who sold it.... The one thing I would say it was filthy inside it looked like it had been owned by a plasterer who spilt plaster all over his room every time he started playing with his xbox... it looks like there has been some liquid inside as well.. The left bumper button doesn't work properly and the right stick drifts... if there was a warranty and the warranty depended on the security sticker not being removed it had already been removed and was stuck on partially by some glue... but I had to take it to pieces to clean it... overall for the price I paid its O K... If you are expecting a nice clean Xbox you may be expecting too much it's definitely not cleaned inside. I'm going to give going to give 3 stars because it was very mucky and 10 years old....

My New Xbox One
I brought this console due to me wanting an upgrade from the 360 and so far I'm loving the experience from the new next gen console. However every console have there pros and cons... Pros- Graphics have improved, games feel more realistic. The console is quiet and does not heat up at all like pervious consoles Nice variety of exclusive xbox one game titles such as Dead Rising 3, Forza and so on. Very good titles and enjoyable to play. Good features within the dashboard like snap TV, Blu ray basically can multi-task in and out of game in the dashboard. You can use any type of external hard drive as long as its more the 256gb and has 3.0 USB to plug into a USB port in your console to increase the storage. Cons- A new feature with the xbox one is to install your games to you hard drive so incase the disc gets scratched it will still run, but this is bad because if your new to the console the game installing at first can take really long to install fully to 100% sometimes even a day or 2 and even though the game says ready to start you need the game to fully install to play multiplayer however when having the console you do get use to it just get 1 game at a time. Not enough hard drive storage, you start off with 500gb but when starting up the console to set it up you need to install a 100gb update which takes away some and due to games being 40 odd gb its not enough. Overall, i am please with the new xbox console it was worth getting rid of my 360 as Microsoft have improved the experience massively and have made it more entertaining and enjoyable, i recommended to get it if you plan on getting an upgrade from last gen!!!

Very disappointing.
Xbox came unboxed, not a major issue but not ideal. Also came with a 3rd party wired pad, and a Sky Digital HDMI lead. Will not buy preowned ever again without making sure of the condition of the item and what's actually included. At no point did it mention it would come with third party peripherals or I wouldn't have bought it. I was expecting the basics, the Xbox one console with all the original items it came with (power supply, lead, pad). I didn't care it came without the headset that comes inside every Xbox one, but to not get the wireless pad or original HDMI lead was unacceptable and I've had to pay extra to source both items myself, meaning I've paid as much as I'd have paid for a new console anyway. I couldn't be bothered with returns as it's extra messing around boxing it up (it didn't even come in any box, just wrapped in bubble wrap), going to post offices etc at my own expense then waiting for the refund and then buying another console. On the plus side the console works well and is super quiet, but then if it wasn't that way I'd definitely have returned it so perhaps it's a bad thing. I'll see how it performs during the return period as any genuine reason to send it back will be taken and I'll buy one that comes with all the original accessories.

As usual an excellent machine with good game titles
As usual an excellent machine with good game titles...but.... The buyers needs to be aware of the electrical consumption when the console is turned off. In this mode the machine consumes in the UK 15 - 20 watts per hour every hour day and night. If you are concerned about waste energy, CO2 emissions and costs, then for every million machines installed this equates to ONE 15 MEGA WATT power station just to run the machine on standby mode.If you are not then it`s no bother and your electricity provider will love you all the more for it. If you want to cut down on wasted electricity then when you have finished playing the machine, unplug it at the mains ,wait 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. The standby consumption then falls to ONE WATT per hour. The downside to this is that you will always be returned to the green start up screen every time. Microsoft didn`t have to make the machine this way but they did. So why did they? The Xbox360 wasn` t made this way as onconsole shut down the XBOX 360 usage falls to 0.0 Watts.
