Works well
Fun to use, and got interesting effects with textiles.

Good craft tool.
Had for several years now used for crafting and melting fabrics and was fit for purpose. Now cannot remove one of the inserts so less flexible in terms of designing.

Fibre Master
I love it. I was making 50 wedding invitations but the ribbon I was using kept fraying! I bought the fibre master to cut and seal the ribbon, which it did spectacularly! Nice and easy to use too.

Nibs, handle and cord comments
Bought this to use on synthetic fabric. It works fine for this. Only issues are it doesn't come with a bent tip/nib which is a shame, as you need to hold the tool in a rather upright position for accurate cutting which can be awkward. The plastic handle also gets incredibly hot when it's been turned on for more than 30 minutes, making it too hot to hold. The lead is short and rigid making it hard to put on stand when not using. I'd buy a cordless one if I'd realised, however this is a good value for the money product.

I love it
This is easy to use, though I have got much better with practice. You have to be careful that you don't burn the flex, it does tend to curl around and you could easy catch it. I have had great fun making shapes.

Aptly described as fabric master
Excellent tool - just what I needed for cutting away organza. The dual heat option enables me to use it for a variety of techniques. It has a shaped shaft with good grip section which keeps your fingers in the right place (away from the hot bits!!)

left a horrible thick black mark all along the cut edge
Even on the cooler temperature setting this is too hot for material, left a horrible thick black mark all along the cut edge, I had used the Margaret Beale fabric soldering iron previously in a workshop and it didn’t do this.
