Periowash Mouthwash 480 ml

This product arrived weel packaged and as i'd already ordered it before i felt confident to re-order it, and i like the fact that it lasts a long time as i only use a capful at a time (and admittedly not religiously every day)! And i also chose it because its a potent mixture of herbal extracts and other natural ingedients and feels like its doing what its meant to be doing in terms of freshening the breath and reducing bacteria in the mouth/gums etc and it leaves a fresh tingly sensation in the mouth after use and as i actively try to avoid products that contain fluoride and chemical ingredients and alchohol etc, i love the fact that despite the higher cost of this mouthwash compared to the chemical/ far less natural options more widely available, i can rest assured that this product only contains natural ingedients proven to be effective for oral hygeine. Definately recommended for those who prefer natural ingredients.

I liked the fresh taste, it didn’t sting like some mouthwashes, and I like the fact that is mostly natural. Xylitol is of natural origin but goes through heavy chemical processes to end up in a usable form. Since it is not swallowed I think it is relatively harmless. The downside is Amazon’s price, the same product can be purchased elsewhere for less.

I bought this for the first time last year in the US for myself, along with Periobrite toothpaste and I haven't looked back. I have been so impressed that I ordered, first, the toothpaste for my 75 year old mum in the UK.. she loves it! A recent dental visit showed healthy gums and no tartar (she still has all her own teeth). Now I just ordered the mouthwash for her as she noticed that a chronic painful throat condition she's sufferd for 20 years was eased after she started using this.. hence she asked me to buy her this product so she can gargle with it too. I love the clean, herby, thyme-and-mint-rosemary taste that you get from the essential oils. All the ingredients are natural with NO artificial nothing! A real bonus is that you really need no more than a couple of teaspoonful to sloosh with which means that a bottle goes a very long way. I hold it in my mouth for around 2 minutes, then I spit it into a small medicine cup and dental syringe it into the hard-to-get areas. A product as good as this MAKES you want to look after your teeth!

Nature's Answer Periowash Mouthwash, 16 Fl Oz by Nature's Answer I discovered this mouthwash in my local health food store several years ago and just love it! Tastes good. Alcohol-free and looks like it has a pretty good list of ingredients. I think they are an American brand and not stocked in the usual chemists (Boots, Superdrug etc) which is a shame because it's so good. I purchased three bottles which resulted in a discount - double good. Lastly this company make the most amazing mouth gel, for when one gets mouth ulcers/ sore gums - so much more effective than other brands - (Nature's Answer Periorub Topical Rub) and they make a pretty good toothpaste called Periobrite.

Sensitive teeth and receding gum pain is no joke, so had to look for some relief. This has proved so far to be very effective at keeping mouth feel fresh and clean. Pain has also reduced to almost zero in 48 hours, i can seem to eat some non foods now without crying. I have combined this wash with Splat Bio-calcium enamel restoring toothpaste and some dental supplements which. All three combined i feel have stopped the pain and i feel so much better for it. Sometimes you have to trust your own judgement, as the 'professional' don't always have the answer. Give it a go if you have had to put life on hold due to gum/teeth pain.

Not giving 5/5 as no reason in the world it should contain Xylitol? I am not drinking it, only swishing my mouth with it - maybe do a sugar free version? Thanks

Love this mouthwash! I had an infected tooth a while back that made my breath reek! Alcohol based mouthwashes seemed to make the problem worse. This one has a really refreshing quality and taste that doesn't leave your mouth dry afterwards. My mouth stays fresh for hours after each wash. Each little capful goes a long way and I only need to restock once every few months. The best mouthwash I've tried yet. Fully recommend!

I have changed my mind about this product -after having repeated my order - I have observed that it is no longer called Periowash - which was a brilliant product - its now called PerioBrite - which makes me suspect a rat - when companies change their name - its usually because they've sold it to someone else or have changed the ingredients for the worse - I have no idea - but am suspicious - its not what I ordered - nobody but myself appears to have noticed - I hav'nt opened it yet because I need an answer - the ingredients which appear to be given in a different order - to confuse - may be fine - there's xilitol - in it - as before - which can be a baddy - depending where it comes from and how its prepared - can be totally synthetic - we're not told the providence of any of the ingredients?

Okay, warning, I'm a bit of a dork/health nut, I actually LIKE scents like citronella, and herbs that may be considered medicinal tasting or woodsy (I used to work at The Herb Bar in Austin, TX) and IF I think it's also GOOD for me? I'm sold! I'm in love (kind of how I base my relationships too - kidding ha ha). Okay, back to this mouth wash. What I LOVE: 1. It's GOOD for you and NATURAL - I have periodontal disease (basically my gums bleed and I have tarter build up). The herbs in this I feel really help my gums - my next dentist visit is 8/5/13 - so we will see but since using this I have been motivated to FLOSS (which I hate) at least 3 or 4x a week! 2. LOVE the taste - now - listen up? You listening? IF you do NOT like the taste of natural stuff i.e. herbs you will not like this - it does taste like herbal medicine - because that's what it is. IF you are used to the "blue stuff" (you know the brands) you will need some time to get used to this but I literally keep this in my mouth for 15 minutes (not sure if that's good or not...) But I love the taste. What I don't like 1. I wish it was a bit cheaper 2. I wish it came in a bigger bottle - because I'm addicted to it. By the way? I tried Dr. Katz TheraBreath Oral Rinse and I was like "What is this? Um? Water? I was SO disappointed - I actually had some remaining generic HEB mouthwash (blue mint is my favorite or WAS) and added it to this bc I'm too cheap to throw things out - it was the ONLY way I felt like I had something besides water in my mouth. ;-( Buck Periowash is it for me!!! I am hooked - LOVE this stuff!! Please make it in a bigger bottle!! Put it this way, I'm doing a lot of reviews today because I have some time at work (bad employee...I know) THIS product is one of MY favorite OUT of everything I have ordered ever on Amazon. And I've been on Amazon since hmmm...I think about 10 years? Anyway, I've spent WAY too much $$$ here (oh but I love you Amazon!!!) and it's saying A LOT when I say this is one of my favorite things I've every ordered. ***But remember, don't be mad at my review if you cannot handle the taste of herbs - if you spit your mouth wash out because it burns or doesn't taste good - you don't have the right stuff for this. ;-) NOT to say it burns, I'm saying it's got a nice, earthy, medicinal taste to it. Yeah!

Used this product as have problems with my gums,it was excellent. Downside is the price.
