Good stuff
I use this for woodturning, I normally use epoxy resin but have this a try as it works out a fair bit cheaper than epoxy. It mixes easily and the instructions included are excellent. You are supplied with mixing cups, spatulas and a small syringe to measure out the hardener. If you follow the instructions and use the correct amounts you'll have no problems getting good casts from this resin. I find the cured resin a little more difficult to turn than regular epoxy as it seems more brittle so is more prone to chipping and tearing but if you take things slowly and don't try to remove too much material at once you can get a decent finish. As other reviews have pointed out this stuff really does smell. It was delivered in a sealed bottle that was wrapped in a sealed plastic bag and sealed in a box and I could still smell it before if even opened the box. As long as it's used outside or away from the inside of your house it's fine and the smell fades when the resin has cured.

Love this crystal clear resin with lovely seller.
I bought this on June last year so it’s over a year old. I kept it in the shed because it does really smell. So I asked the seller how long this resin lasts and they said six months but I’m now 14 months on and it works just fine. I don’t know if I’ve just been lucky. It is very clear. I don’t notice a lot of bubbles once I mix it it has a few then I put it in the silicone mould then it seems to mostly disperse of the bubbles it self. In fact today I made coasters and decided to not bother using heat to pop the bubbles and there was just a few on top and I’m going to dome them anyway so why cares you won’t see it.The only downside is the smell. When the package comes you will smell it instantly. I kept mines in the shed because I didn’t know where else to put it. I mix my resin outside then put the finished product in the spare room but I had to cover any vents in the room and put a towel under the door to stop any smell coming through. But the price comparison is very good compared to non smelly resin just make sure you get a decent mask. I’ll try and link the mask here. When you get a mask if you can smell the resin with the mask on it’s no good. The other downside which you do get use to is that the resin sets very fast so you have about 15-20 min to work with but if you get everything set up and ready you will be ok.The seller is very nice I had to email the a couple of times I lost the measurements sheet and contacted them for the mixing ratios and the very kindly gave me the measurements and also told me that the ratio was on the side of the tub lol.😂

Good stuff but it does have a shelf life.
It's decent stuff apart from it does have a shelf life. I left half an opened pot for a few months came back to it and it had set solid.Still a good price but use once opened.

Great Value and Crystal Clear Cure
I have ordered this 3 times now and cannot recommend it more - fantastic value for money (I bought the 5kg size). It's a nice touch that pots, gloves, stirrers and syringes are included. From a crafting/art perspective (not bought for paddling purposes) the resin cures to a crystal clear solid. Doesn't seem to need much bubble reduction when using. It goes off around 25mins after mixing which gives you plenty of time. Works nicely with alcohol inks.I will be buying from Swindon Watersports again (not because I lived there in my youth and still have family there ;) ).

amazing product, dries like glass easy instructions and mixing
1st thing 1st this resin stinks however it is really good quality and the best value there is, my children thought I had been varnishing from the smell so its not a pongy bad smell, when used and mixed properly it dries clear and like glass, I will always use this from now on ive just placed my second order and have used it to make geodes, sculptured crystals and beautiful pendants aswell as glass effect spheres all have turned out brilliantly using a heat gun and keeping them warm while curing ,if you do your home work on epoxy you cant go wrong

Okay, not great
Bought this in order to get started in the world of resin woodwork. It's main plus point is that it's cheap, which leads unfortunately into the negatives.First pour went ok, and produced something rather pleasing. With this confidence, I proceeded into pouring something larger which is where things started to go wrong. Firstly, as others have said, the smell of this stuff is horrendous, so be sure to pour in a well ventilated area.As another review noted, this stuff is unpredictable in how it cures. Currently, the pour I have is ridiculously hot and has warped quite badly to the point where I'm not sure it's salvagable. It has pulled away from one side of the table leaving a gap which will be difficult to fill in - I suspect that I'll have to rip it apart and start again as there's no way of easily colour matching this stuff.Summary would be, buy if you want to do small projects - if you're wanting to do anything bigger, around a 20" x 6" pour, save up your pennies and buy the better quality stuff - you'll be thankful you did.

Does the Business
First off -the package did not arrive. When I contacted Swindon Watersports, they sent a replacement immediately. The 'kit' has plenty of gloves, stirrers and measuring pots for a large volume of resin, providing you work sensibly and re-use bits when and where you can. I thought the syringe might not be accurate enough for small jobs, but on my work it was fine.Generally I found the resin easy to work with, it certainly is 'water-like' and very convincing (I wanted something that would be confused with water -and it worked a treat). Yes, you need to work in a ventilated room and allow casts to cure fully somewhere ventilated too. If you do this, my experience is that 'resin-stink' is gone after less than a week. I exhibited some 3 litres of finished resin in 7 casts in a large room and there was no discernible smell.
