KabelDirekt – 5m – RCA/phono cable, 2 to 2 RCAI have connected this cable to the output of an Electrocompaniet phono pre amplifier and to the input of my main amplifier- here are my findings:The cable is robust and somewhat stiff when compared to the supple, well known and costlier Japanese, British and USA cables. Routing the cable was easy and the plugs fit really well with none of the looseness mentioned in other user reviews. They feel like the Rean brand from Neutrik when actually pushing them onto the inputs. The plugs do not feel as robust as the die cast type but perform their task very well.This is the longest RCA cable I have ever used and I was concerned that there might be a noticeable difference in sound quality because of the length. I have to report that I could not detect any difference which was more than a pleasant surprise.If you are looking for 'audio jewellery' it might be better to look elsewhere. However, if you simply need a reasonably priced RCA cable that will carry a signal with integrity, I doubt whether you could find anything to better this one.Simply fit. Forget. And enjoy the music.

I bought this cable to replace a recent well known branded 4m RCA subwoofer cable that didn't seem to perform well. No subwoofer LFE output from the amplifier, so RCA it had to be.5m is a long RCA cable, to eliminate loss and interference, good shielding and low capacitance was essential. The connectors are well made, and fitted snuggly to my amplifier and the subwoofer terminals. The cable and outer sleeving has a good quality feel to it.I was totally surprised how well this cable performed, really tightening up the bass, clarity and allowing far more accurate tuning of gain and frequency to match my stereo speakers.I bought the acclaimed branded cable I replaced new when I purchased my Dali subwoofer last year. My only regret is that I didn't ditch it much earlier for this one. All other cables in my system are QED. Cables really do matter, even subwoofer ones if your system is half decent.It's 5 stars from me, highly recommended based on performance, especially at this affordable price.

The high quality of this gear, which is at low prices really does a good job.I would advise anybody who has purchased a decent sound system to upgrade the cables from the basic red n white twin phonos that most companies send out.The difference between the basic connectors and these is like night and day.Get the most from your set up and hear more detail in the music, more stereo separation and crystal clear high notes, as well as the deeper bass that seems to appear as if by magic with better quality interconnects.It makes sense to spend just a few £££s to get more enjoyment from your hard earned cash.I would say it's a cheap but effective upgrade well worth doing.

Since getting my vintage record player and amplifier about 10 years ago, I have been using a pair of old RCA cables that my dad had kept from years ago. I always thought that the slight hum you could hear in my setup was always going to be there, and I resigned myself to the fact that maybe there was an issue with grounding or something like that. After listening to a record for the first time in a while the other day using my headphones, I noticed the sound was moving from one ear to the other and was crackling badly when I fiddled with the RCA cables, so I went online and purchased these KabelDirect ones to replace them. I fitted them once they arrived and lo and behold, the dreaded hum I had grown so used to was gone!They fitted onto my setup easily with a little push (my old ones felt very loose and moved around a lot - not like these new ones. They feel quite secure). The cable is quite short (1M) but my turntable and amplifier sit right next to each other, so no issue there - I probably could have gone even shorter to be honest). They feel very nicely made, with tough rubber and good quality metal. There’s a small red line to indicate the right side input which is useful and a little more stylish and less glaringly obvious than I completely red one like my old cable.I am really pleased with my purchase and I kind of wish I had bought new RCA cables sooner!

Nice quality phono cable

I have purchased several sets of these rca connecters by cable direct and i must say they are good quality. I use them to connect my hi fi seperates system, they do sound better than the ones supplied by the hi fi manufacturers. They are reasonably priced and the connectors are gold plated and the cable thick, i also found that they fitted nice and tight to the sockets. Yes you can get more expensive cables but how much better will the sound be, beware of diminishing returns. You dont need to spend a fortune to get good sound.

Improved Audio QualityVast improvement on bog standard RCA cables supplied with audio equipment, sound was more rounded with cleaner sharper tone and warm spacial sound, recommended at the price.
