Ever since Whole Foods recently changed the label on their Allegro coffees to the “store brand” moniker, the product has not been the same despite the insistence to the contrary, and the changes are especially noticeable in the Decaf French roast.. it tastes like sour sumatra beans. Found this brand of coffee via a search through a number of brands for a decent replacement for that much-missed decaf dark roast and am impressed. This product tastes as good as the caffeinated coffees.. great flavor with wonderful cocoa undertones and crisp somewhat smoky top notes and a lot of body in the middle (we make our coffee in a pour over flask) - classic French Roast coffee. Added bonus is the generous-weight bags it is sold in! At our end of things the search is over, subscription delivery set up.

Let me start by saying I drink my coffee with cream and sugar, so the taste varies slightly from cup-to-cup, but the overall flavor is good. My only complaint is that there are no notes on the bag to indicate how much you should use per cup, so I guess they leave it up to the consumer.

I bought this coffee because the company does not use toxic chemicals to decaffeinate its coffee. I keep drinking this coffee because it tastes good.

I originally purchased this brand in whole bean coffee. Recently I needed to purchase coffee already ground and tried it again. No disappointment here! It's good enough to drink plain, nothing to jazz it up. Smooth, no acid problems from the tummy afterward, and so good to serve to friends or business associates. Needless to say, I willl purchase it again.

I love the brand, this is the first time I’ve bought the Italian roast and it is delicious. I love strong coffee and this works great for me.

This is the third coffee I tried via Amazon purchase that stated on the packaging it was for cold brewing. First two were not much of a coarse grind which is what is needed for cold brew. This coffee is definitely a coarse grind, and tastes great. I’m not looking further.
