This item works well and meets the need. I like that the item has an internal rechargeable battery with USB plug, so that I don't have to use removable batteries. The green laser is especially visible in day light as compared with a red laser. I bought 3 different types of lasers when I made this purchase, and this one is definitely the best in terms of build quality and visibility. Shining the laser at a distance of 50-60ft, I did not notice any expansion of the beam dot on surfaces, so it is a tight beam - well done. For astronomy and pointing, this laser is great, but I would use something less powerful to play with a cat, so as to avoid shining the cat's eyes. As far as size goes, the photo image of a hand holding the laser is photo-shopped lol. The image makes it appear the item is roughly the size of a medium flashlight. My hands are somewhat small, and my palm width covers about half of the device while holding it. That's not a real problem, the photo is just misleading in proportions. I would definitely buy this product again, or suggest it to a friend.

Can't beat it for ten bucks. The USB charging is really convenient. No way of telling if the battery is low.

Well built and bright

I saw a YouTube video of a guy scaring away geese from 150 yards away using a green laser pointer. So I decided to give it a try. IT WORKS AMAZING!! Just a few seconds and the geese take off like the DEVIL himself is after them. I was having a real problem with hordes of Canadian Geese pooping all over our lawn and beach where my grandkids play. I didn't know that when it looks like they are eating insects they are actually eating blades of grass which they then poop out everywhere, and I'm talking big poops. As big as my little 11 pound dog Stella leaves and many more of them. Now just a quick flash of the laser around and on the geese and they run. This does NOT work in strong sunlight as it washes out the laser light. In those conditions i break out my paintball gun and splash a few balls in the water near them. That along with the sound of the gun firing sends them scurrying. In dusk and dawn and cloudy conditions the laser works great.

Strong laser. Great outside. Fun for cats too when used as a straight beam.

My neighbor has one too. Great winter light shows on the snow or trees. No actual purpose except to entertain me lol. I'm sure it would be dangerous in the hands of a child. Thinking eyes and aircraft, so adult only use!! Pretty on inside ceilings too. It has no lock button so when your finger leaves the button it turns off.

I bought this to play with ours 2 pups. Fun. has a tip that makes multiple patterns.
