The light quality is great! You may have never particularly needed nightlights. You can install this in the kitchen, and is happy to find that it is just bright enough to make it easy to grab a glass of water, but also don't make it appear as if the room is permanently lit up - the quality of the light keeps it from reflecting around and illuminating the whole room, and rather just adds enough visibility to the area to allow you to see things.
