Basic but effective. (So long as you don't intend to use it up a ladder, on a sailboat or fifty feet from a mains outlet.)
Okay, it has a mains lead instead of a battery pack (the kind that mostly have to be replaced about every two years and cost more each than this old-school item even BEFORE Amazon's end-of-line reduction), and it has the old-fashioned carbon brushes that wear out... but not very often. Also the same model is fitted to a large number of mains powered Makita tools that (a) aren't going to wear out any time soon and (b) - don't tell anyone - spares are available on eBay post-free for just over a five, all of the foregoing are non-issues.Given Makita build quality and my light domestic DIY use this little beast is in 'future heirloom' category even if lugging an extension cord around isn't exactly sexy. Luckily that's not a priority, given it will probably not get any further from a mains outlet than the front drive and back garden. If you too need a tool that's light, easy to handle, won't ever run out of puff and just keeps on working unless there's a power cut, very, very highly recommended.

Brilliant
This was the only mains powered impact driver I could find and its great. I only occasionally need to use it so didn't want to mess around with a battery powered one. This was has plenty of power, enough to screw a 20cm screw through a piece of 4x4 without struggling - Very good tool

Super strong, hard impact with great use.
Loves the impact driver. It’s my most used power tool. Very strong and long lead, good grip and strong casing. Have used it relentlessly when building my storage unit which needed some big bolts and screws, never let me down. The only brand that does this type of product. Has inspired me to purchase more Makita power tools. Better than other brands and great customer service.

Excellent
Very high torque which negates the need for pilot holesVery reliable thus far - used it to construct a wood store and other garden furniture itemsMuch better at driving than my Bosch cordless drill, which itself is very goodWent for the corded version as I don't want to have to replace batteries in a year or twoI'm surprised that this is the only corded impact driver I could find as it's such a good piece of kit.

Good price and prompt delivery. Perfect for my requirements. Only had for a few weeks and not used that often but so far pleased with the purchase.

Excellent product but to be expected from Makita
Excellent product but to be expected from Makita....would recommend if you don't use it as often as say a tradesman would, no battery issues being corded.
