Hard to buy something different for your older children for their birthday... this was a great find... great for intellectuals that love science and space and electronics and gadgets

I've not gotten as much use out of these space pen cartridges as other cartridges in the past. They seem to either dry up or run out of ink within a month or so. Just to qualify, I don't write with them more than I write with any other pen and I've had space pen cartridges last me up to a year with heavy writing.

I somehow used one of these refills in my “fat” pen—the kind arthritic hands need. When it ran out of ink and I realized it was a space pen refill I knew why it was so reliable. I never have to scribble to get the ink flowing and it always has a bold flow.

These are not cheap for writing, but you can't find them much cheaper and if you want to use a Sensa classic, well, pay the man. If you don't, go get a box of BICs from the dollar store. They work well and seem to last as they should. I like them.

Honestly for the price of a single refill you could buy a whole box of pens.ButThose are cheap, throw away pens.I bought these refills for my both of my EDC pens; being my Zebra F701 that I use for work and my Fisher Bullet which I carry off duty.If you've got quality pen that matters, load it with a refill that matters, a fisher space pen refill.

I've been using these refills for about 40 years, and have many times used other ballpoints but always return to the steady reliability and long life of these pens and refills. If you ever have to make, or cross-off, items on lists while holding paper against a wall, like when you shop, or just take notes, this will write without skipping vs. any other ordinary non pressurized pen, except perhaps the Uni Power Tank series, which is a serious competitor. This six-pack on Amazon is also about the best unit price you can get for this product. I prefer a more grippy pen body for this item, so use it in my Swedish Ballograf Rhondo Plus, which has more elegance than most Fisher pen bodies. All models of Ballograf fit this refill, using the Parker adaptor that comes with it.

Pen writes nice and smooth, recently had to use it in the rain, never skipped a beat!

These are pricey, but I write all day long, and I don't like messy gel-pens, so these are worth it to me. Ink flow is smooth and controlled, and the lines are consistent with good tactile feedback from the paper through the pen to my fingers. Just wish they held more ink and lasted longer.
