Phillips PH00 Screwdriver for Sony Playstation 4 PS4 Controller Disassembly

I purchased Phillips PH00 Screwdriver with sole purpose of using it to replace the hard drive inside my PlayStation 4. The screwdriver was perfect for the screws required to be screwed out then back in during the process of replacing my old hard drive with the new one. Would thoroughly recommend this screwdriver if you are planning to replace your PS4 hard drive. I am unable to comment if this screwdriver can be used for PS4 controllers as noted in the product title as I have not attempted to use it for that purpose.

Did exactly what it was advertised as. I previously struggled with different precision screwdrivers to open up my controller (to replace the analog sticks) - one broke off in fact - and this one worked first time on all the screws. The handle (as opposed to precision screwdriver handles) is longer and has more grip to give you a better purchase on the screw.

It's fine as a screwdriver but I had bought it to replace the PS4 hard drive and it's too small to remove the initial "playstation screw".I have no idea how reviewers here say they've managed to use this to change the HDD. According to reddit you need a "PH1/J1 bit or a PH0/J0 bit" so I have now ordered a PH0 bit instead and am praying that works... Needed it to replace the hard drive in my PS4, did the job perfectly on the inner casing screws but needed a slightly larger phillips head for the single outer casing screw.

Just right for taking PS4 HDD outSlide the plastic shiny PS4 top sideways (it just clips off exposing the drive), undo the screw and it pulls out. Prob best to have the power off just in case.

If you have ps4.. Dont buy! Doesnt fit the screws.. And to the distrubutors i would advise you to get a ps4 controller in your warehouse so you can realise your wrong and then rename this product, waste of time !! For the sake of 3 pound wont even return as waste of a stamp and paper for a screwdriver smaller than my iphone 5s

Item comes in a smart, small green bag which you can store the screwdriver in. I brought this simply so I could upgrade the HDD in my Playstation 4 system, the head is high quality and doesn't die after a few uses like some other screwdrivers featured on Amazon. The only downside is the plastic casing feels very cheap and especially around the head of the screwdriver where the plastic hadn't been properly removed and was jagged. This was easily enough removed with a knife.
