I found these by searching for bobby/hair pins for thick hair because NOTHING would keep my bun in place & be comfortable at the same time. After reading the reviews, I decided to order. They did not disappoint! They are a little pricey for only 12 pins, but unless you lose them (or abuse them), I think they will last for a long time. I had never heard of them before, but I loved them so much, I ordered another set just in case. I could probably use one or 2 of these and my bun would be secure, but I use 4 generally and it stays in place all day. I even slept in them, and my bun stayed secure. My hair is long, super thick and naturally curly. Order these and you will be happy you did! Just for the record, I hardly ever write reviews, but I rarely buy anything without reading reviews first. If I leave a review, it's because I really, really loved the product (or hated it). In this case though, I loved these sqhair pins!!!!

These are larger than I expected, but they hold a bun perfect!

My 7 year old has SUPER thick hair and regular Bobby pins (even the ones for thicker hair) would not cut it. These were SO easy and held very good!

These are the best pins for thick hair! It is the only thing that holds my girls' ballet buns together. The other pins are just not sturdy enough. These are sturdy and designed just right!

Perfect hair pins for ballet buns! My daughter takes classical ballet and has waist-length straight, fine hair. I can secure all of her hair in a perfect bun with just 4 of these hair pins, and it lasts for the whole class!

I like these pins. 1:10 holding power compared to traditional bobby pins in my long fine hair. Depending on the style you are going for, they sometimes require a bit of a trick so If you get them and they don’t hold your hair as expected, look up an instructional video before you give up.

I was on the fence about buying these & so glad I did. Perfect for an updo. My hair is curly/wavy & I also used to secure a hairpiece that added volume to an updo for a formal event to give it that “pow” factor.

This hair pins are amazing.....feel like you have nothing in your hair! But can hold up my below shoulder length, think, curly/wavy hair in a full french twist with only 2 of these guys! No lie!
