Fridge Or Freezer Thermometer 52 mm Dial, Colour Coded Zones. Ideal For Home, Restaurants, Bars, Cafes

I originally bought one of these about 4 or 5 years ago, and found it worked perfectly. Recently my fridge started going off and on so this thermometer was fluctuating. Just to make sure that this manual thermometer was still functioning well, I bought another one and am using both in my new fridge. Both working spot on. No batteries, very inexpensive and accurate.

When ours arrived, it has not instructions with it, but then again none are really required. Please see my photos. I left it next to two digital thermometers, that are within 1c of each other, to see how it compared. The mean temperature of the room at the time was 25c and this thermometer showed 25c. So, as accurate as the two compared and known accurate digital thermometers. At the time of writing this review the temperatures in the kitchen are high, outside it is around 34c. Our small under the counter fridge did not seem to be keeping the temperature of the contents cool enough, in fact with this fitted it showed 10c. Turning the selection dial on the fridge, to lower the temp, to the next to last setting then dropped it to the green zone and so the fridge is managing. Overall I am most impressed with the thermometer, however being a reasonably new type of fridge the hook is pointless, nothing to hang it to. I have now just stood it upright, resting on a small blob of blue tak. That is fine. It is clear to read and I did not need to use the calibration screw on the back of the device to adjust its settings. It needs no batteries and it is cheap to buy. The build quality is adequate for how it is to be used. It now offers us the assurance that the fridge is still capable of getting to the need temperatures, even in the hottest of days. I have now ordered an additional unit for the freezer.

This fridge/freezer thermometer isn’t very accurate, but it’s okay if you just want a general idea of the temperature. The readings jump around a bit, and precision definitely isn’t its strong side. For quick “is it cold enough” checks it works, but not for anything that needs reliable accuracy. I didn’t bother returning it — it does the job well enough for simple use.

The temp I set at 4c I was impressed at 10 mins it took to reach 4c the the set temp in the main compartment it the small compartment I measured 10 c on small compartment(no controll on small compartment ) temp outside temp 28c it’s very quite in operation it looks good well built with two good handles and easy to read display ps the fridge runs on 12 volts there is a adapter for 240 volts
