Being used to hearing ticking and whirling, not loudly, but you know they’re working away, this one is totally silent. So silent I thought it was broken and was going to return. If, over the years you periodically replace the same certain items again and again, over time you begin to amass quite a bit of knowledge about those particular items and for me, this is one. Having owned and used a handful of various brands and types of timer plugs over time, this particular one is leaps and bounds above the competition to date.Having used one myself for a few months now I can reliably vouch on it's superior functionality in the field, so to speak, so if your looking for a reliable timer plug capable of operating safely under high wattage demands, a portable oil heater or high density lighting up to 2 x 300 / 600 watt loads for example - buy this. This plug is simply superior in it's design - it's smaller than other choices on the market, it's build quality, the look and feel of the thing is a grade above what you'd expect for such a low priced item and I'm genuinely chuffed with it.I have absolutely zero ties, allegiances or connections whatsoever to anyone or anything connected with this item. I bought one - I like it.

The one bad thing about this type of timer is that you can only use it in a left-hand socket of a double. Perfect for use in a single socket as the unit will not cover the other side. Works ok it is a quiet unit I have had mine running for some time now and have had no problems . it is just a pity the timer and socket were not in a vertical plane when rather than horizontal

Well made, easy to set up, silent and accurate.

The package around the item was damaged but the cardboard envelope the whole package came in was not damaged so I been given a damaged one in a undamaged new envelope (a item like this should have been in a box not a envelope. Besides that It's easy to use instruction wise but not easy to set segments as they are too close together and really thin, it would have been value for money if it worked properly but I received one that jams up, instead of taking 15 minutes to switch my device off it's taking up to 21 minutes which is not accurate. It's also switching on sooner than it should. I will be ordering another one off the seller as hopefully not all are faulty, I think it fair to give the seller another chance. I was planning on buying a few of these after testing 1 first. If the next one works properly I'll buy more but if not I'll sending the second one back and won't buy from the seller again . Also if the next one works properly I'll update my review with more stars.
