These were definitely more narrow than I thought but I bought them for overnight stuffing because my daughter sleeps through the night and is a heavy wetter. I put 2 in side by side with slight overlap and they’re great. We haven’t had any overnight leaking, even when she sleeps 12 hours.

They are smaller than regular inserts which are perfect for newborn sized cloth diapers or reg ones that are snapped to the smallest size. They are more narrow and not as long. Very well made and super soft.

These are very soft and absorbent for the size. They are smaller than a traditional liner which makes them nice to put in for a filler or overnight additive.

I was expecting standard sized inserts and these are not it. They are shorter and slimmer and I don’t have any diapers that are small enough for these to make sense in my stash.

I picked up the newborn inserts with microfiber on the outside and 2 layers of bamboo on the inside. In one picture I compared them to washed inserts in the one-size. The material and layers are the same, so you can see how they look after a few months.I like inserts that are bamboo on the inside because bamboo holds a lot of liquid, but on its own does not absorb quickly enough to keep large, sudden liquids from slightly running to the sides. Microfiber is great on the outside because it is a quick absorber, keeping liquid from puddling or running to the sides. That gives the bamboo the seconds it needs to absorb everything, and baby always feels dry.These inserts are for newborn diapers, so they are narrower than inserts for one-size diapers. Thry fit perfectly on newborn diapers, and have extra length to fold over where more absorption is needed, depending on whether it is a boy or girl. They are not wide enough for one-size diapers when worn by 8lb babies and above, since they are too narrow, but they can be used as doublers to add absorption to the center of a one-size diaper while still keeping the sides of the diaper thin and comfortable.Another option is to buy only one-size diapers for your newborn and add these thinner newborn inserts to keep the diapers narrow enough for newborns. That could make the one-size diapers comfortable for a newborn even though one-size diapers aren't meant for newborns. It would save money being able to jump to one-size diapers without having to buy newborn diapers, and these inserts would fit between their legs comfortably. Although babies quickly outgrow newborn diapers, they won't outgrow these newborn inserts. They are great for newborn diapers, great for one-size diapers on newborns, and great as doublers for one-size diapers on older babies and toddlers. They will be useful for years.

Too long and narrow for the newborn diapers so leakage with every pee.

Ok ..other more expensive brands are better but these should be ok for newborns they don't do a lot of moving around
