Knotty Boy Emergency Dreadlocks Removal Kit

This kit was good when used in conjunction with other products. The shampoo didn't lather that much so we used it as we went along and applied it to particularly waxy areas on the dreads. For the full pre-wash we used conventional shampoo because the lather better penetrated the centre of the dreads to break up the wax holding them together. The conditioner was better, and again we just applied it to the hair as we went through with the comb.Overall I was quite impressed at what this product helped to achieve, along with other products. I would recommend for those with established dreads (I had mine 9 years) applying as you go along and having large bowls of water to keep dreads wet and wash the waxy residue off the combs. It is a very time consuming process but worth it for those who want to save their hair, so good luck to anyone doing it!

I found a video about this product so decided to try to open my 2yr old dreadlocks. Thought it's going to be easy :) have had 33 dreadlocks and took me5 days to have it done. The hair was upset and really dry so I went to hairdressers to finish the job.I was very happy with the product as I saved more hair than I was expecting! Thumbs up.

Shipping was perfect, the "kit" arrived much earlier than expected (I live in Italy) and was perfectly packaged.Regarding the products I must say that they actually work well: the shampoo cleans the locks and the conditioner helps in making your hair much more elastic.I've had locks for 7 years now, and I've tried to comb them out both with and without these products and I saw quite a big difference. I will continue to comb them out using this kit 'cause it helps a lot in making the dreads easier to "open" and the knots less difficult to remove. I also found the hair in a very good shape despite being locked for so many years...I didn't expect that. I think that this conditioner really helps in making the hair soft and less damaged once the dread is gone. I've used another random conditioner and I definitely prefer the knotty boy's one.Whether you use these products or not you should unlock the dreads while they're wet and use a conditioner as the hair inside will be in better shape (don't do that when the hair is dried,you would just waste your time and have severely damaged hair at the end, it would be better to just cut everything off).I don't give it 5 stars because I found the kit to be a bit pricey for the quantity you'll receive as every bottle is just 120ml (anyways, you already know from the description and the pictures, so that's not so bad).I would recommend this items and if I need more I will buy again from this brand/seller.

There is no need to purchase these products as the conditioner and shampoo is no different to cheaper hair products. If you buy this you you've been ripped off! But it does make you feel you've done your best to get products that will help with knotted hair.

The product is not a good quality and did not meet the purpose for which it was purchased

Hii came across a head of very long hair which was matted like dreadlocks. if anything it was worse then because it was like completely matted in a size of half football.we tried everything example deep conditioner, oil, shampoo, but it did not do anything.After searching on google i came across knotty boy.it was miracle.Removed all the matted hair with very little breakage.(total 10 hours)very very pleased with the product. Highly recommend
