Q: Can this be used with adjustable beds? (We have a Lucid L300 bed base)

I seriously doubt if it can be used with an adjustable bed

Q: Will this work with a mattress AND box springs?

For best result the mounting bracket should be screwed into the bed mattress support slates or bunkie boards. If you try to just slip them in-between the mattress and box spring you’ll loose most of its useful rigid safety and function. And if your able to screw them into the bed below the box spring, you might not have sufficient height of the safety rail. You’ll have to measure the height of the box spring and mattress to see if the rail will be high enough if you can secure to bed below box spring.
