White Knight WK44AW Reverse Vented Tumble Dryer, 6kg capacity, White [Energy Class C]

Received this quicker than expected very pleased, lovely and quiet and much quicker drying than my old dryer. The only reason I have given this a 4 star is because the door is not as solid as I expected but still pleased.

A very reliable Tumble Dryer and this was to replace a white Knight which we have had for over 10 years. Hopefully this White Knight WK44AW Reverse Vented Tumble Dryer lasts as long as the previous one we shall be happy. Ordered on Monday and was delivered on the Thursday morning which was brilliant. The price was very reasonable and with the weather raining it was in use Thursday afternoon.

I would happily give this drier no stars. It never worked properly. We had to get engineers out twice after being sent on a wild goose chase around various repair companies. They claimed there was nothing wrong but replaced random bits anyway.When it broke for a third time, the company denied we had had it repaired ,then requested we provide porof , then finally declined to look into the problem as it had been over 12 month since purchase. I am not prepared to pay for an independent engineer. The cost of repairs and engineer time must be worth considerably more than the cost of the machine. Not to mention the time off work I have had to take to wait in for them to fix it and the headache it has given me.

Beware the item is deliverd by a free-lance white van man whose interest is in getting on to his next delivery. You are asked to sign for the item being delivered in good condition - but you have no idea until you remove all the very substantial packing whether it is! I found the delivery fellow as helpful as he could be but the customer is left to unpack, no mean job, and push the item into position. Also the venting tube is of modest length - I had to cut the tube off the old dryer and insert it into the new one to reach the utility room back door. That apart, all seems to work as expected

We previously had a very reliable White Knight tumble drier which has lasted a good 13 years. Delighted to see that, apart from a 'start' button the excellent design has changed very little. If it works well don't change it I say. The fluff filter panel also works very well. I am against some of these over complicated devices which you can switch on and off from the moon (should you wish to!)

Firstly I must say that I was very disappointed with company who were delivering this item. I had to contact them three times for a delivery date and when it arrived on the final date promised it was via another courier. I wasn't in a hurry to have delivery, but I needed to be at home when the item was delivered so that I could take it in, so I wasted two complete days waiting in as it did not turn up on the arranged days.The tumble dryer itself appears to be efficient thus far (I have only used it once). I was pleasantly surprised in finding the extendable venting hose being an integral part of the tumble dryer which extends when needed and stores back in the dryer when finished.

Doesn't get as hot as my old Creda one but that used to cook the clothes a bit so I'm happy with it and I think it was good value , low noise and looks good. Only fault is the door handle which isn't a sprung handle like my old one. This one just has a thick blob on the catch which you have to force in and out of its recess. I'm not a fan of it because it just feels like it will wear out too soon or break off . Hopefully it will give me 5 yrs of service in which case I think it will have been a great buy for the money .
