In all honesty you could probably pretty successfully deconstruct half a bison with a pair of these but seeing as how I was only after a bit of help with the Sunday roast they do step up to the mark with this albeit 'inconsequential' task. Yup, boys get your macho head on, this is an essential to add to your vast array of barbeque weaponry. It doesn't muck about. It's the Clarkson of culinary aids. Get one, you know you want to. I can smell the must from here....

I have had these only a few hours and I've just ordered another set at the same inexplicably low price (a bit over four pounds) from Amazon Warehouse to give to my brother. Unlike most of the copycat versions, these are solid and don't have the annoying hollows under the claws in which food can catch. They are plenty sharp enough to rip a pork shoulder joint to shreds in moments, and although I'm an experienced hand at pulling and shredding with a pair of forks, these cut the time of the job in half, with no finger strain. And when I'm not cooking, I can leap onto the furniture and pretend to be Wolverine, but without the dodgy sideburns and angsty back-story. Best small purchase of the year so far!

Saw these on a programmer, laughed at them, bought them..hate using a knife now!! Does the job well for pulled beef or pork...I dropped one though when I washed up, and a tiny point dropped off one...it hasn't stopped them working well...oh and hubby thinks he's wolverine when tackling the Sunday joint now...

There are surprisingly sharp (I urge caution) and work well for meat that you want to serve shredded, such as pulled pork or duck for eating in Chinese pancakes. The quality seems good, and they wash-up easily. I do feel a little bit like Wolverine from X-Men when I'm using them, which can only be a cool thing for enhancing a cooking experience!

These simple plastic claws are fantastic for shredding a slow-cooked pork shoulder for pulled pork sandwiches and more generally very useful for removing pieces of meat from non-stick roasting pans and trays without damaging the non-stick coating.

These are great for pulled pork. I got them exactly for that. But I will also be using them for carving chicken etc. Easy to use, and wash. Great novelty and useful item.

I got these as a gift for my boyfriend as we eat pulled pork and crispy duck a lot. This was strangely the gift he turned out to be most excited about as they are really sharp and he was pretending to be wolverine.

These shredders are sharp and very durable. i Bought these for shredding some Pork Butt I smoked and they performed awesome. Very easy to use and to clean just place them in the dishwasher.

Habe zum ersten Mal pulled pork gemacht, die Bear Paws sind hervorragend zum Zerzupfen des Fleisches geeignet. Verwendet man nur eine kann man Braten, Fleischkäse oder ähnliches leicht und schnell festhalten und mit dem Messer schneiden. Zum Vermengen von Salat auch gut geeignet.

My family loves to grill, barbeque and smoke meats. We have recently begun doing pulled pork on our Traeger smoker. In the past, we have used a pair of large forks to pull the meat apart. We have found, as a general rule, that the process takes a long time, is a strain on the arms, and can be quite messy. As a result, we decided to give these Bear Paws a try. I am so glad that we made this purchase, and only wish that we had bought them before attempting a pulled pork. The Bear Paws are so much more effective for shredding the meat, resulting in a quicker, better shredded product. We also found them very helpful to move the roast from the pan to the cutting board. My teenaged son even asked to shred the meat himself, as he wanted a turn to try out the Bear Paws. I would highly recommend these to anyone with an interest in shredded meats.
