Is this product really as good as advertised?

I really like this product for the most part. I use it a few different ways like color matching, sorting, and obviously counting and number recognition. I purchased 2 sets and wished that they had a black and white set. Seems like once they do it they memorize it, which doesn't help me know 100% if they mastered it.
