Grade 5 Reading (Kumon Reading Workbooks)

This really helped my reading Develop!! Since I've used this I was top of the class in reading and THIS IS NO JOKE. It has texts, questions, interesting stories, and more! Would DEFINETLY Reccomend!!!

it is perfect to improve children's skills but it is a bit hard for my 7 years old daughter so I kept it for next year

This series of books is very useful in building up comprehension skills in children. Start with a book level lower than your child's school year and then work upward.

I really like these workbooks. We have used this series of work texts for a few years. My daughter has really taken to them- the lessons are not too long, nor too drab, but they are challenging. They do use stories for the child that are not too juvenile, which I really appreciate. The 8 year old that uses these was a late reader, but this year alone has rocked to 5th grade reading thanks in part due to these workbooks. I'm pleased with them! To note: Kumon is huge in Japan where we live- with centers filled with children after school, so they are expert in the field of elementary education from my observations. When in a local school we observed they use these workbooks (in their native language) for the students there- and it is common knowledge that education in Japan is done well.
