it's great to have with apple putting the ports round the ...
I used to have the same item for the 20" iMac, I have just got a new 27" iMac unfortunately this has a bigger footprint so I had to order a new turntable for it, it's great to have with apple putting the ports round the back it makes things so much easier, the design has taken the colour of the new Mac as well and complements it well. As always the item is very well made and robust, cannot recommend it highly enough

Another excellent rain design product. Used to compliment and greatly ease maneuverability of our new Mac 27" - works a treat!

Most stylish solution to a problem which stricly speaking isn't a problem
As anyone who owns an iMac will know accessing the USB ports on the back of the screen can be a bit fiddly. If you are not using up all the ports on the back to plug peripherals into anyway then there is no need to read the rest of this review; you simply don't need this sort of product. If however you find yourself having to unplug external USB devices so that you can plug in another one then this may just be what you're looking for. In essence this turntable works on the same principle as a "lazy Susan" you unscrew the the top shell, place the iMac foot on the revolving base and then fit the top shell over the base of the monitor stand ... simple as that. Once fitted you can simply swivel the screen to change viewing angle or get easier access to the back of it.The design matches the iMac design pretty well and doesn't look too 'clumsy'.Of course there is a cheaper solution to the problem of accessing the rear USB ports, namely a USB hub which you can get a lot cheaper than this turntable. However, a USB hub means trailing cables which may not be what you want.Basically, this product does the job it is intended to do well and it does (in my view) look better than an external USB hub, but if you're not too fussed about looks then you may want to go down the USB hub route instead ... after all, this turntable does not solve the root problem of not having enough USB ports on the back of the iMac.

Made of plastic, rough movement, very poor
Bought this for a 27" iMac, all the photos make it look like aluminium, there's no mention of it being silver plastic anywhere. I can confirm that this item is made out of cheap plastic. The turntable itself looks to be grey powder coated steel. The movement of the turntable is quite rough and noisy. Not worth the money. Also, it was sent through the post in a retail box with no outer packaging and took almost a week to arrive.

Very Pleased
Works just as I'd want (at least for my 24 inch white plastic iMac). Encloses the base in very stable fashion. Holds position when rotated. My feeling is that it's a bit expensive for what it is and that is the reason for the lost star, but then that's true of so much of this sort of thing for Macs.Mine has let me set my iMac up so that it can either be facing into an alcove in its usual desk set up or into the room for use as a picture frame, secondary telly etc. So much cheaper and convenient to have that sort of flexibility than a second device.
