STAR WARS Force Link Rathtar & Bala-TIK Figure

This is written by my 10 year old son; I wanted a creature to chase my star wars figures and seeing the reviews of this set I was doubtful. But there was no disappointment and the figure was a great addition to my collection.

Great value

The legs on the Rathtar come so that you have to assemble. They fall off when playing. I have one unhappy child.

Although Star Wars toys are becoming increasingly cheap quality as the retail prices increase, this one is below par even in comparison to other 'the force awakens' 5 point of articulation figures. The Bala-Tik figure is fine. It doesn't look much like the character in the movie, and the paint is a little bit shoddy, but it's an ok figure. The Rathtar on the other hand is just awful.Assembly of the Rathtar is a battle. The tentacles don't really fit into their slots and seemingly fall out at the slightest touch. Connecting all of them without knocking them out is like a complicated game of kerplunk. I gave up trying to assemble the thing after a while and put it back in the box. The body of the creature is very rubbery, and despite the image in the accompanying leaflet I think you'd struggle to fit a star wars figure in the creature's mouth. It also looks slightly smaller in scale to the figure than it would be in the movie. The lettering on the legs to indicate which one goes where is not clear and some letters are difficult to distinguish. If you were going to keep this permanently assembled you'd probably need to super-glue the legs in place. It could've been a decent figure but I feel that Hasbro dropped the ball by trying to make it as cheaply as possible. I don't know how the force-link effect works out with this one as I haven't bought the force-link bracelet.I rarely open Star wars toys these days unless I buy two of them. This one I would've appreciated more if I just kept it boxed- the box is quite snazzy.

The legs kept falling off the Rathtar which is annoying.

This is a horrible toy- it's impossible to put the legs on and to make them stay in the holes. My son can't even play with it, the legs fall off the moment you pick it up. What a piece of junk.

Oh man my son loves this Rathtar. He's so so about Bala Tik, but is ape over this mutant tentacled potato with puce eyes all over it. One thing about the tentacles, save yourself a lot of time and frustration, put some super glue(just a dot or so) in the sockets for the tentacles and PUSH THE TENTACLES HARD to make them snap into the sockets. Otherwise they don't stay in, which is surprising considering how hard you have to push to get them to snap in. After the glue we've had none come out again and its still very playwithable. If your Monster loves monsters then they'll love this Rathtar.Oh yeah it can eat Balal Tik too.

My 7 year old is obsessed with Krakens and other mythical sea creatures and as soon as he saw this product on Amazon, he was amazed. After receiving it and seeing a few online reviews, we found the tentacles needed to be twisted on properly. Otherwise, they tend to fall off easily.

Came as expected, kids love it
