Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid: The Lives and Legacies of the Wild West's Famous Outlaw Duo by Charles River Editors
I have always been a major fan of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, especially after my time as curator of the Crook County Museum in Sundance, Wyoming in the mid-nineties. The book is well written and definitely held my attention, but I found a major error in the section on Sundance, Wyoming. The Sundance Kid was NEVER incarcerated in the jail pictured in the book but one that was part of the original Crook County Courthouse. The jail in the photo had not even been built at this time. I think it's important to insure historical facts printed are correct.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
This was a mildly interesting biography of the infamous western legends. The 1960s movie about them was so romanticized and not very factual. The two men were not close friends and didn't spend much time together, except when they went to South America. However, their criminal lives were not particularily notorious; it was the lighthearted movie with Paul Newman and Robert Redford that put them on history map.
