These glasses really work!
Really pleased I ordered these glasses. Firstly, I have chronic migraine and am constantly sensitive to light. Secondly, I need bifocals due to both myopia and presbyopia. I ordered these glasses because of the positive reviews and because I was in need of some way of improving my symptoms. They are surprisingly helpful and I’ve used them much more than I’d expected. For me, the plus is that I can slip them on over my bifocals and that means I can see into the distance and do close up work without any issues. The green lenses are brilliant at ‘calming’ what you see - particularly helpful when there is strong sunlight coming in through a kitchen window for example. The lenses definitely help with light sensitivity / photophobia. I have a set of bifocals with large circular frames and the Migralens glasses are big enough to fit over them which is great! The side panels with the green lens within is a brilliant idea and the frame design basically excludes light getting in from above or below the frame which is ingenious and really works! The frames are sturdy so I feel they will last quite well with careful use. The reasonable price means I don’t have to be too precious about them so I have them set ready to use if sunlight is high or I’m going for a walk etc. I’m considering getting a second pair to keep in a different location. The glasses are a bit bulky and the frame is a black plastic so they’re not the most flattering frames but as a functioning simple way of helping migraine-related visual symptoms I think they’re brilliant, and I can vouch that using them over prescription glasses has worked well for me. I do wonder if they would also work for people with dyslexia or Irlen syndrome/scotipic sensitivity syndrome who find coloured overlays helpful. I like the fact that MigraLens is made by a small family run business based in the UK - it’s good to support local and perhaps the firm could create a brown/tortoiseshell more fashionable frame with these lenses someday!?!

Very happy with them.
They worked really well for me to ease extreme light sensitivity to both daylight and artificial light and to lessen migraine symptoms such as head pain/dizziness. For me personally, they enabled me to look at a computer monitor and phone with migraine symptoms and extreme light sensitivity for a period of time without worsening my symptoms, which was unexpected. The glasses do have a green tint which is not as pleasant to look through as some other colours but I think the green tint is very soothing when I have light sensitivity and migraine so I assume that is why they are green. On the company's website it states that the glasses absorb blue and red light which helps with migraine symptoms, this may be why these glasses work a lot better than other tinted lenses for me personally and it may be worth paying the extra money and taking a punt on them if other glasses haven't worked. They are probably at the right balance of tint so that you can see what you are doing in fairly low light as well. A life-changing purchase for me to be able to cope with light sensitivity and I hope they work for others too. I'm really glad I bought them. I'll be getting the lens put in a frame of my choosing very soon.EDIT: If you are extremely light sensitive permanently to artificial lights you could try doubling up on Migralens, one pair of smaller Migralens glasses underneath these like I have. It works well and I can still see ok unless it’s dark when I’m outside and then I take one pair off.

Works for migraines & headaches.
Unfortunately these glasses were lost in the post as the seller does not send them via recorded delivery. However after contacting the seller they immediately issued a replacement care which were received very quickly. The glasses themselves are very lightweight and comfortable to wear, and most importantly fit over my prescription glasses without any problems. I work in an office with very bright fluorescent lighting, (light above my desk is switched off due to bright lights being a significant trigger for my migraines), and I have to attend daily meetings, and these have been a godsend, as I previously had to wear a sun-visor which looked totally ridiculous! The only down-side is the fact that these are only supplied with a drawstring material carry-case, and not a hard-shell case. I like to keep these glasses in my hand-bag (as I often have problems with the bright lights in shops), and am worried that I may break them. I have recently purchased two hard-shell glasses cases (designed to house large sunglasses), however the Migralens glasses are too large to fit in either. It would be most useful if these glasses were either supplied with a hard case, or their was an option to pay a little extra to purchase a hard case with your order.

Wonderful sunglasses for migraine sufferers to wear over prescription glasses
These sun glasses are so good. I have been using them for years. This is a replacement pair. They fit comfortably over my prescription glasses, but the most important thing is that they cut out my light related migraines right down, to the point that, if I get a migraine now it is very rarely sunlight related and that used to be one of my main triggers. The glasses are helpful because they go right around the eyes so you don't get glare from over the top of the glasses or round the sides as you would with ordinary sunglasses. Also they cut out the particular range of light that can trigger migraine. They are quite big, chunky glasses to wear (my sons used to call them my Willy Wonker glasses) but I don't care at all because they help so much. Equally other people have said how much they like them and asked me wear I bought them so it's all a matter of taste anyway. I have just come home from a holiday in the south of France and discovered that I can swim in the pool and the sea wearing these glasses (obviously being careful to keep my head above the water). This made a huge difference to holiday headaches too. If you suffer from migraines or light related headaches these glasses are fantastic. I can't recommend them enough.
