The Best 21st Century upgrade you'll ever make to your vehicle!
My experience so far with the Thinkware F800 Pro twin channel system dash cam system has been overwhelmingly positive. The delivery from Amazon went without a hitch.I had the entire kit installed professionally by a company that specialises in this. Yes, it cost me money I barely had, but it has been worth every penny. I also upgraded the supplied 32GB MicroSD with a Sandisk Ultra 128GB A1 MicroSD....not one, but TWO. I swap them out of the F800 Pro when I need to download or preview video footage on my PC. Note that you can download directly to your Mobile Phone IF you use the Thinkware Cloud app.I also mated my F800 Pro to a Cellink Neo 6 - also professionally installed at the same time. Essentially, this has arguably transformed my vehicle into a 24/7 video surveillance platform Big Brother would be proud of.Of special mention are the Parking Mode capabilities - you need the Cellink Neo 6 auxiliary battery installed in your vehicle for that specific purpose - 24 hours plus recording capability.Parking Mode Time Lapse capability allows gives you continuous non-stop recording or everything going on around your vehicle. Motion Capture will start the recording as soon as it detects movement - it records in real time WITH SOUND...allowing you to catch the sound of that nasty yob / neighbour / jealous numpty dragging a key down the side of your pride and joy. Open and shut case in court!I've had 36 hours out of the auxiliary battery in (parking Mode) time lapse mode. Then there's the other traffic aids; you get speed camera warnings and AVERAGE SPEED CAM warnings too. Never get another ticket. It's also an incentive to drive safely and stick to the speed limit - and should keep your insurance bill down. The dash cam also has sensors and various sound tones to warn you when you're too close to the car in front of you, when you're crossing lanes, and even when the vehicle in front of you moves off while waiting in traffic - and yes, you can turn any and all of these warnings ON or OFF - your choice. Your GPS speed shows in the video recordings (Front) at all times (never checked if you can turn that off) very handy to prove your innocence in a prang. There's too much to stuff into this review, but it's simply amazing - and I'm convinced it's worth every single penny!

Great HD dashcam
A great all round dash cam. Brilliant night vision quality, and useful added safety features such as lane departure and collision warning, it even tells you when the car in front has pulled away, great for those daydreaming moments in stop go traffic! A couple of annoyances are that you can’t turn of all the system voice prompts (I really don’t need to know everytime the gps connects) and the mobile speed camera alerts every 2-3 seconds on the roads where they’re found can be a tad monotonous.

The speed camera bit is excellent
This is a top of the range camera that comes with a top price tag. Is it worth it ? possibly ! It is not without it's issues, so carefully consider this against cheaper options. BTW dont buy the real cheap ones, as they are poor.Fitting was a breeze, I used the OBD power cable and this works fantastic. Cabling round the car was as awkward as it would be with any camera system, There was plenty wire on the rear camera, so much so, much now lives in the rear pillar. I did manage to conceal the whole run behind trim.Setting up was a little odd, as you have to connect it to your camera as a hotspot. This does work, but the first time might take some head scratching. Any further changes can be done within the PC app straight to the memory card, which is a little easier. The PC app works and will seamlessly play your clips, alongside a map if required. Video quality is good. I would have hoped for 'great' at this price point, but it is okay. Be warned at where you fit the actual camera, the instructions provide some guidance, but they don't mention to make sure the camera is fitted so your wipers clear the windscreen in front of the lens. Some of the fonts used within the app are tiny - making selecting a video file hard, unless you have very good eyes. The additional safety features are a bit of a hit or miss. The speed camera bit is excellent, with voice warning for cameras etc along with a speed prompt. The others, LDW etc, consist of bings and bongs which just aren't clear at all. Very disappointed with this.

dashcam has a recording floor
purchased this after extensive search for a good dashcam. initially this is a very good camera with the front and rear camera's. quality is very good and I like the way it hooks up to gps and warns you a speed camera is coming up.one fundamental floor on this product though is the fact that it only records video in one minute segments and then it skips 2 - 3 seconds of real time before recording starts on the next segment. there has been 3 incidences I wanted to view since I have had this dashcam and it missed 2 of them due to the break in video.for this reason avoid this dashcam at all costs.thinkware needs to bring a software update to their dashcams to enable you to choose the recording time, say a max time of 5 mins, this way you have less chance of missing an incident. check any future dashcams they make to see if they have this floor before you buy.

Great Dash Cam Unit
Really like this device. Easy setup and also comes with a Micro SD card so you can plug and go. Really decent length on the USB cable to the rear camera. If you are installing yourself grab some of the fuse tabs as makes hard wiring so much easier. Worth the money. The one think personally I would of liked is if I could of connected it to my home WiFi when it is on the drive so i can interact with the camera when the car is on the drive. I asked the support team and what did impress me is that the support team came back via email within about half an hour with an answer to my question.
