Mirafit M2 Weight Bench and Squat Rack Set Up

Overall the product is solid and good quality... just what i was looking for. In summary if you’re looking for a squat rack im sure this setup is great although ive found it not the best as a bench press....1. You need at least a 6ft bar... otherwise your elbows hit the sides which are used for squats. Im not the biggest build! Plus if your holding the bar right (just over shoulder width apart) than anthing less than 6ft bar will not work. Therefore the squating components impact the bench components.2. The adjustable bar along the bottom stops you being able to place the bench at the correct position. The bar should be head / eye level... your either too far forward, too far back (tried placing the bench in front and behind the adjustable bar) or you have to slide your bum up the bench which defeats he odds of buying a decent bench.Overall a little deflated as i thought paying out for this would give me some decent kit.

Overall I am happy with this Rack and pleased I bought it but I will say, this is my second review as the first was turned down. More on that at the end.Pro's------* Looks great when put up.* Straight forward to put together and use.* The adjustable spotter arms are very helpful and I can confirm that from personal experience.* Adjustable height and width. I'm 6ft 3" and 18st and fit in no problem with plenty of space to move.* From what I have used it for so far i can say it is great for flat barbell bench press, inclined and also barbell squats.* I find myself low down the seat when doing flat press but my son who is only slightly smaller has no problem. I think it is just down to style.Con's------* The finish of the paint is poor in places. Some areas look pretty scuffed but they are not visible when put together.I did my first review just after receiving it. The boxes were banged up but I appreciate that is down to the shipping company and not the manufacturer. However, with the scuff marks I felt down about my purchase so was going to return it. I gave it a day and thought sod it, I will put it up anyway and I am actually glad I did. When put together the parts that were scuffed do not show as they are the parts that go inside other tubes so were likely to be worn anyway. I have just gone to check it again and I can't see any blemishes on the parts you can see when built. Be aware that that is just my experience.

I needed a bench that was half decent and not a Chinese made Argos one. One that had uprights that were bigger than the width of a person's shoulders so you could have any form wide grip. This semi commercial bench has adjustable uprights and is perfect, it doubles as a parallel dip station for the lower chest. A squatting ravi and safety spot rack? Which once adjusted to just enough that you can get full range of motion but also have the barbell rest on the reach without squashing you, it's probably valuable to have. The uprights can be risen too which is great as incline press requires a higher barbell position. The bench itself is great and can be adjusted both at the backrest and seat for full decline.Takes a good 2-3 hours of assemble and an adjustable or 17mm+ socket wrench, but overall a happy purchase. Looks smart too, if you have a cat, get something wrapped around the leather covers because they'll love it too with their claws.

Just starting to get into weights for a bit of personal body improvement, I wanted something inexpensive that would save me lifting direct from the floor and to allow heavier weights with a new 7' barbell and weights. I am happy with this purchase and the delivery was extremely swift and came a day earlier than I expected. Nicely!The squat rack is solid enough, (though does have a bit of sideways play that I may review when I get heavier weights on) but has allowed me to start lifting from a standing position, which has been a real help - especially for squats.Putting together: the instructions were (as most people have stated) minimalist - with no contents page for the squat rack. Please note that I thought I was missing a locking pin till I found it pre-attached to a part of the framework later. I also had a similar issue with the weight bench component with a bolt pre-attached. On the weights bench, although there is a more step-by-step approach to the instructions, the washers and bolts were haphazardly bagged together and took a while to correctly match up each piece. It wasn't rocket science, but I am sure something could be done to put washers and nuts on the allocated bolts to save a lot of figuring out.Overall, I spent a lot of time trying to find an affordable squat rack and bench, able to take my lifting above the 50kg max of the cheap Argos one I had from last year, and I am happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who wants to lift a solid weight without overspending and being a competitive lifter.

It's not industrial use so you can't really compare it to proper gym equipment. But it does the job. The bench is quite sturdy I think the construction could have been better but balanced with the price it's not too bad. Squat rack is good enough for home use, it is quite flexible in the way it can be widened or narrowed. I've used it for both squat and bench press and am happy with it. Good addition to a home gym. You'll want a 7 foot bar to go with this equipment.

Very sturdy professional piece of kit which will last me years and years...which baffles me why Mirafit haven't updated the instructions to build the thing. The ones you get are completely useless and I had pieces missing unfortunately. I got in contact with them and received abox of new fittings within a week to finish it off. All in all I'm happy with purchase and after sales but instructions on the bench badly need updating. I may add that I bought some Mirafit barbell clamps which work better the sping clips I had (cheaper on eBay)

Great kit. Easy to assemble, very stable. Delivery wasn't the best but it all arrived pretty quickly in the end. Responsive customer service as well, which is nice.
