Amazing
I bought this for my sister's birthday she was so excited and couldn't wait until dark to lite up on her patio outside. Nice sturdy case, fire was just the right height and kept us warm. She could not keep talking about how much she loved it.

If you don't like the larger flames, this type of pit is for you
The reason I gave this only 4 stars is because of the directions or the lack of. This is the first fire pit I've seen that is made like this one. I have seen many since. This comes with a "concrete fire pit", a "fire pit base" that goes under the "concrete fire pit", a "stainless steel insulator" (cup) (this is what other pits call their burn chamber) is placed into the "concrete fire pit", another stainless steel partially enclosed cup. It has an alkali free glass fiber cotton felt inside and a small tab that say's "MAX" on it sticking out into the cup is called "Alcohol Combustion Chamber". It sets inside the "stainless steel insulator" and is where you add your fuel. Cont:(mine had the tab bent as high as it could go. I couldn't see the "MAX" on the tab but I thought that was the full mark on the end of the tab which put it above the "Alcohol Combustion Chamber". The directions state "never fill the reservoir higher than 1" from the edge" (?) what ever that means. I just filled it to the top of the "Alcohol Combustion Chamber". It wasn't until I was cleaning it up after the burn that I found the "MAX" stamped on the tab and that the tab should have been sticking at least level in the "Alcohol Combustion Chamber". That still isn't 1" from the top of anything but I'm going with that.)Cont:Add your fuel to the "MAX" (leveled) tab, then light with a long match or long lighter. If you don't like the larger flames (8-10" average) some pits have, this type is for you (3-4" average flame). This pit uses less fuel and burns longer than other types. I think the alkali free glass fiber cotton felt inside makes the big difference. With Swan brand 70% isopropyl alcohol, I get 70 minute burn time. FYI, different brands of different fuels get different results. I've used different brands and different % of isopropyl or rubbing alcohol. Some burn clean and some burn with a faint black smoke which you should use outside because of the fumes and setting off the smoke detectors. Don't let this detour your use, just use that fuel outside. There are many fuels out there that burn clean. Burn pits are awesome! You can use them indoors and out. Very inexpensive to burn. No messy or dirty wood to deal with, no fumes, no ashes, etc.. There are many different fuels you can burn. They produce heat and great ambiance. Who doesn't like watching a fire burn. Right! FYI: I always put a cork coaster under anything with heat to protect my furniture no matter what. This type doesn’t get as warm as others but I don’t take any chances…

Table indoor fire pit
Is fun and cute but you have to constantly fill up with the oil to keep it burning. It does not last long but it is a safety issue too.
