Nice fragrance and works pretty well for me - i.e. not pregnant
I bought the Caya gel and diaphragm from a different seller about 2 years ago but I have started buying the Caya gel via Amazon. I am so glad I found these products as I hated taking the pill which was effectively pumping artificially lab generated hormones into my body for 10 years. I wanted a break as the pill did not do me any good in terms of my libido. The gel smells really nice (vanilla fragrance) and it does not normally sting save for one occasion I accidentally scratched myself (I forgot to trim my own nails) when inserting the diaphragm and the gel stung quite a bit. I only got myself to blame for that incident. So, girls, please be careful not to injure yourself as the gel may sting your wounds. If you have a particularly sensitive skin, just do a trial run by using it with the diaphragm (and not you are not about to have sex) to see if you feel comfortable at all. You will need to practice inserting the diaphragm when you first buy it anyway to ensure that you insert it correctly without it popping out or folding. I read somewhere that an acidic pH is good for the vagina flora anyway and as this gel is slightly acidic, it really should not be harmful to the vagina. It would be helpful if Caya made various gel tube sizes for sale as I am an infrequent user, it expires long before I finish a tube and I think that is a bit of a waste to just toss the leftover. But, sadly, it has to be done to ensure that it is used within the expiry date to ensure it remains effective.

SO worth it!! - Hormone free, natural, and it works
I cannot stop raving about the Caya diaphragm and gel! I am a bit of a hippie and do not like taking hormones (I was on the pill for years and it doesn't really agree with me). My friend from Germany suggested the Caya diaphragm to me as apparently it is more popular over there. I went to my sexual health doctor and she fitted it for me, but I have heard that one size fits pretty much all women. It is really easy to insert and you literally just check your cervix is fully covered and the lip is tucked under the pubic bone. - There is an instructional video on the Caya website. I put the gel inside the diaphragm, and also put some on the back (just to be super safe, as this is what the sperm meets first). I use this alongside NFP, so I take my waking morning temperature, and check my cervical fluid every day, so I work out when I am fertile and when I am not. I use the Caya diaphragm with Caya gel when I am fertile, and have unprotected sex when I am certain I have already ovulated, and it works, I am not pregnant, and neither is my friend in Germany who has been using this method for 3 years! (I would highly recommend reading a good guide on NFP before trying because you really need to understand the rules for it to be reliable - otherwise use the Caya Diaphragm with Caya gel every time you have sex). I love how the gel isn't full of irritant chemicals like the NHS Nonoxynol-9, but has been shown in studies to be just as effective. It works by lowering the pH of the vagina to a level that stops sperm from fertilising the egg. However, it is a safe pH for the vagina and therefore doesn't cause problems. The only thing I would say is to make sure you watch the Caya video first as it explains that you need to insert it 2 hours or less before sex, and leave the diaphragm in for at least 6 hours (I always do 8+), before removing it to make sure that the sperm is dead/ deactivated. And if you want to have sex more than once, you just add more gel into the vagina with the applicator. It takes only seconds to insert and remove. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Well... I'm not pregnant. Thumbs up. :)
On a serious note, yes, I'm not pregnant and my body seems to tolerate the gel without any issues, so in combination with the Caya diaphragm, works a charm. At least for someone such as myself who tracks her cycle and is not continuously sexually active. I only wish it lasted a bit longer, it always expires before I use it up.

Does what it's meant too.
Works well, easy to apply to caya. You are meant to use this in addition to the caya diaphragm. Have been using for years and haven't fell pregnant yet. Good alternative to the pill.

....Bad use by date.
Use by March 2024, bought in January. Dont think I'll manage to get through a big tube in this time so most of it will probably be wasted. Not good.
