Contec crank puller

Handy little tool which seems to be good quality. Removed an old Shimano set which had been rained on and unused for a dozen years or more. Chain wheel side was relatively easy and budged with my Allen key. The left was well, gauche to say the least. At this point, I greased the tool's threads and switched to a large adjustable wrench across the two external flats. Effort and insulting language shifted it. The puller is none the worse for it, probably because I shifted from an Allen to an adjustable and took care. For the money, a good piece of kit.

The puller seems well constructed, solid and it 'just works'. No fuss, no drama and so, not a long review. I wish life was this simple

One of the better bike tools to buy off amazon. I have not used any other crank pullers as I've never needed a different one. Works excellently everytime and there is practically no wear on the threads. Have used it on over 50 crank sets and still going strong. Highly reccomend.

This one works well. It worth paying an extra few quid for a good quality puller like this, as it needs a very strong effort to pull the pedal crank off the splines. Even my brand new bike was hard. Its easy to understand some of the bad reviews of other crank pullers that have collapsed under the strain. My only complaint (hence 4 stars) was the lack of a hex head on the end, just 2 flats and an allen key recess. So no hope of using a ring spanner for extra grip.

Good tool to have,makes crank removal a doddle, appears to be well made, should last a while. Well worth the money 👍

This product is robust and well made - unlike other cheaper versions. It worked well and remains in good condition. Thoroughly recommended.

Used this on my son's second hand bike. Cranks had been on for some time but this breezed through the process of taking them off. Good threads and I have a large Allen key which made for easy removal. Thoroughly recommend.

used once and it broke while using to pull a crank (intended use). The outer casing that holds the inner shaft simply crumpled under the pressure and sheared off nearly destroying my ebikes bosch crank motor housing . this seems to be made from a soft metal, ad not fit for purpose, i cannot return the item now as i have only just got round to using the tool as my bike was in storage.

Macht was er soll, bisher 2 mal angewendet , Augenscheinlich gutes und stabiles Material. Musste die Kurbeln schon mit erhöhtem Kraftaufwand abdrücken. Gewinde haben gehalten und der Innensechskant ist auch nicht rund, daher 5 Punkte.

Acquistato per il restauro di una bici, la quale alla fine aveva un attacco Thun (per il quale questo estrattore non è adatto). Ho voluto comunque provarlo su di un'altra bici e la filettura nella sede della pedivella è stata molto agevole (usando un po' di grasso sul filetto). Sembra essere costruttivamente buono, prodotto consigliato.

Estaba como loco para poder extraer una biela de una bicicleta estática hasta que investigué y vi que existían estos extractores. Es perfecto, ajusta a la perfección y sacar la biela ha sido como untar mantequilla... facilíiiisimo. Lo recomiendo al 100% si necesitas un aparato así.
