Good quality, solid mount.
These wall hangers are amazing quality for the price, they look great and I am completely comfortable leaving my more expensive guitars in these hangers knowing they won't fall off/be knocked off.The base mounts securely to the wall with 2 screws through a solid chunk of wood and the metal mount goes right through the wood. Its relatively easy to fit these and you can get a very secure fit, just chose a solid wall. We used longer screws than the ones provided to make sure they went into the brick to ensure it was completely secure. There is a mechanism in the mount that causes two small gate like shutters to swing up when a guitar is placed in the mount, this is great as you don't have to bother with a fiddly piece of plastic you have to put across yourself. You place the guitar in the mount and you know theres no way it can fall out until its picked up.One of my hangers arrived with a small chip out of the wood which is kind of annoying but its barely noticeable when hung up with a guitar in so I'm not too bothered, however it may be worth noting quality control on these small aesthetic things may not be completely flawless. The mounts fit all of my guitars I have tried in them, and seem to support the weight of even my relatively heavy bass guitar just fine. The design of the rests that the guitar headstock sits on means that even if your guitars headstock is an odd shape it should still manage to support the guitar so that the neck is at 90 degrees to the ground meaning theres no excess stress on the guitar. The mount also provides a good clearance from the wall therefore I have had no issues with acoustic guitars scraping on the wall behind.I would definitely recommend these to someone whom is often getting their guitar(s) out as its easy to pick up and play, whilst keeping them on display when your not using them, I would however suggest to put your guitar away in a case if your not going to be playing it for a while, you don't want it to get too dusty.Overall a great item, highly recommended!

You get what you pay for
I'm a firm fan of a bargain I could have got three standard hangers for the price of this locking/gripping version. As these would be supporting some very expensive guitars I figured the investment would be worth it.I bought three of these for my 11 year old sons beadroom wall as I felt more confident that these would protect from any accidents - having a younger son too and many years experience of kids having accidents that could have been avoided. These are beautifully made and very robust. Two fixings (one top and bottom) made this very simple to put up. Hanging on a brick wall so the screws and wall plugs provided worked great. You will need alternatives for plasterboard walls. They feel very secure and work well with the variety of heads on my sons guitars - including his Telecaster which has a very narrow head.Simple to put up, great quality and very nice looking. These are more expensive that other alternatives but if you want the confidence and security that you can hang a prized possession on the wall, this is the item for you.

A brilliant idea - perfectly implemented
I just got around to hanging some of my guitars on the wall rather than having them in their cases behind the sofa and various other locations. The missus was complaining about the room they were taking up and it was also a bit of a hassle to get them out and play them and so I have tended to just stick to the one guitar most of the time. Now they're on the wall right beside me it should encourage me to give a few more the playing time they deserve.Anyway, I used the Hercules GSP38WB swivel hanger. The unique feature they have is the patented auto-grip system. As you lower the guitar onto the yoke it automatically closes two arms to ensure the guitar won't fall off the hanger. It also swivels so that no matter what shape the headstock is, the guitar always hangs vertically.I any of you was thinking of hanging your precious babies on the wall, I can highly recommend the Hercules hangers. Just make sure that you screw into the wooden studs if you are going to hang on a plaster board wall. You can use special plugs for plasterboard/dry wall but I don't think I would trust them as I'd hate my toys to wind up smashed on the floor. Hercules recommend using the studs in their instructions. They suit nearly any type of guitar and they keep the guitar clear of the wall so you won't risk scratching the finish - or the wall! Now I have room for a semi-acoustic in my collection!

Sturdy, safe and secure.
These wall hangers are honestly the best and most secure that money can buy. I've had cheap versions in the past and they've fallen apart or damaged my guitars but Hurcules have nailed it. I ordered three of these with the intention of hanging 2 electric guitars and a bass in my home studio. The only slight issue that I had was finding the studs in the wall as I wouldn't trust hanging these directly from plasterboard alone. Once the studs were found, putting up the hangers was easy as each comes with two screws and these are plenty long enough to grip the stud. Once up the guitars are secure, safe and look amazing.
